The blinding flash of light slowly subsided, along with the dizzying sensation of my body being moved without my control. The sudden jerking motion along with the dissociative feeling of my body being strung along an invisible tube until it was put back together on the other side, though a familiar sensation, was still an incredibly uncomfortable one that I would rather not have to go through if I can choose.
This, of course, is not one of those situations.
Thankfully, the teleportation only lasts for less than a second. It's virtually instant, and in this case that means that within the same second that we are teleported we appear on the other side.
Now that our sudden shift has ended, we stood within the somewhat smoke-filled room that was lined with polished stone, strange symbols, and four men in red cloaks. Each man had his hands covered by the sleeves of their robes and the hoods draped over.
