The bearded elf looked straight at me while he delivered that line. I was confused and still in pain on the inside, but I quickly collected myself to speak once more.
"Wha-... What? What are you saying?" I asked. The bearded elf laughed at me and then pat my back.
"Tael, the only thing that matters more than fun to an elf is if someone or something is encroaching on the fun of another elf!"
The other elves nodded and smiled.
"We rarely agree on anything, but that much is true! I once got into an argument with the elder stags of the blue ridge mountains; they said I couldn't relax in their springs and enjoy their forests, so I called in every elf I could find to eliminate the elder stags! We had a wonderful feast afterwards in the blue ridge mountains thanks to that!" A woman with her hair tied in a knot declared. She held her fist upwards as if declaring victory.
"S-So… What's going to happen?" I looked around.
