I slipped backwards and slammed myself against the wall. I slid against the stone and found myself on the ground in a matter of moments. I could hear Kenji trying to call out to me, but the ringing in my ears prevented his voice from reaching me.
After my breath shuddered and my eyes closed, I finally managed to regain a semblance of composure, though for how long this will last I do not know.
"Hey!" Kenji snapped his fingers in front of my face. It was this action that finally pulled me out of my mind.
"Tael! Are you okay? Snap out of it, man!" He kept snapping his fingers. I reached my hand outwards and pushed him away.
