I unbuttoned the jacket of my suit and gave it to one of the servants that approached. This outfit cost well over a million juns, and while that amount is not something that is irreplaceable, I still would rather not waste such a fine outfit if I can avoid it.
Tael appeared to be rather confused. His eyes said as much as he merely watched me from a distance in a perturbed fashion.
"F-Father… You mean-"
"Yes. You and I shall do battle. Wizard against wizard." I pointed to him and then to myself. "I believe it would be a rather good measure of how far you have gone. If a half can compare to the full then I will be impressed."
I snapped my fingers. The servants that had been standing at attention in the area immediately dispersed. This garden shall be for us alone. I shall not have any bystanders getting in the way.
"Father, I-I-" Tael began to stutter. His nervousness amuses me, but at the same time I wish to know why he feels this way.
