Clouds began to form in the sky. The world started to shake. The battle in the distance raged on, but a few participants became spectators as they watched the Hell Guardian.
"You've pushed me far enough…" Jask exhaled. Steam began to emanate from his body. All of my instincts were screaming at me, telling me to get out as soon as I could.
"You should all feel lucky… I haven't used this power before, so even I can't tell you what will happen…"
I stood up and prepared myself for whatever power Jask was about to unleash. No matter what he does, there's no way he can cover the twenty meters between us fast enough for me to be unable to react to it.
I held on to this fleeting hope in an attempt to prevent myself from succumbing to my own panic. The feeling in my stomach alone was enough to inform me that I was lying to myself, but I didn't want to believe it.
