We waited anxiously for the wall at the end of the room to drop or disappear. Beads of sweat appeared on my face while I held the hilt of my katana in preparation.
I'm not the only one feeling this anxiety. From the looks of everyone else's faces, they're all worried about what may lie on the other side of the wall. We only have about ten seconds before it should shift out of the way, so we can't ask Jaq any other questions.
Speaking of Jaq; he has taken to cowering behind us, ensuring that he is as small and invisible as possible so that if anyone receives retaliation, he is not counted among that group. The amount that he has fallen is rather disheartening, but considering the fact that he was willing to give up in the past when faced with adversity, I can't exactly say this is an unbelievable change.
