Tael and I awkwardly sat upon the flat stone rooftop of the complex as we awaited the arrival of our other two party members. Had I known that clearing out the guards of the building would be so easy, I would have simply suggested that Tael and I fly in and clear it out before we all rushed inside.
Despite this, we waited for their arrival. The people that we had taken down earlier were soundly asleep thanks to Tael's magic, so we don't need to worry about them getting up anytime soon.
"You can talk now." I muttered after a few minutes of uncomfortable silence.
"...Sorry." Tael whispered.
"Don't worry about it. I used to wonder about things like that too."
Tael stood up and pointed at me. "So you did get a feel!"
"Wha- No!"
"Then where did you feel it?"
"I didn't!"
He furrowed his brow as he looked at me. I could feel his gaze burn into me as I felt more and more uncomfortable with each passing second.
