The loud bang of the iron door echoed throughout the dark hallway behind us as it landed on the stone ground. The face of the blonde man before me was turned upwards in terror. He made futile attempts to back away from us, falling to the ground as he did so.
As Tael and Erana stepped forward into the room, I looked upwards to check around.
Barren is the best word to describe this place. Other than a small table in the center of the room, there's nothing here other than small puddles formed by the occasional drip of water from the ceiling. There are two doors nearby that are made of wood, unlike the front.
"I-I don't have money right now!" The blonde man squeaked out. "Kany will… She'll be back soon!"
I raised my eyebrows at that statement, but before I could ask, Tael stepped forward and looked down at the man.
