I stared at the blonde waitress. Her current attire clashed heavily with my memory of what she would usually wear. Gone was her thin shirt or cloak. Instead, she was wearing what appeared to be workers garments. Her short blonde hair was tied up, forming a small ponytail.
Kany watched me, her mouth agape. I also stared at her as we waited in silence for a moment for either of us to make the first move.
"U-Um… I would like the-" Yimmie began, but Kany dropped her notepad and pen as she began to run towards the entrance.
"H-Hey wait!" I shouted out as I tried to catch her. She's running away from me! What in the world is she doing?
I need to chase after her and find out the meaning of this.
As I jumped out of the booth and began heading towards the entrance, Yimmie called out to me.
"Oi! Wait, Kenji-san!" She pleaded.
I pulled out a one hundred jun coin as I threw it to Yimmie. "Another time!" I shouted as I bolted towards Kany.
