The last embers of the night's fire smoldered in the pit. I stretched my exhausted limbs as I slowly gathered myself from my post-sleep stupor. Erana was no better off. We had spent most of the night discussing constellations, so by the time we finally stopped it was already well into the time we should have been asleep.
I slowly rolled my shoulders as I checked the pseudo-watch device I had purchased from the dwarves earlier.
"Ten thirty…" I muttered to myself as I placed the rock back into my pocket. Erana took notice as she wiped her eyes.
"So the gate isn't open yet?" She mumbled.
I shrugged and smiled at her. "I can always jump the wall with you on my back again. Do you think the guards will be mad if we do that?"
"Well…" She rolled her eyes. "They were mad the last time you did that, but your argument of 'ten minutes isn't a big deal' seemed to work." She looked upwards as if she was in thought.
