Author: Well, I…uh..psst, Fleur, help me out…
Fleur: I thought that this'll be a bonus chapter of some sort?
Author: I supposed so. BUT GREY HERE DISRUPTED MY COMMENTRARIES
Grey: BECAUSE. I. WAS. LEFT. OUT. AND THIS BITC—WOMAN RIGHT HERE TOOK ALL OF MY SPOTLIGHT!!!
Fleur: Because my story, FYI, IS FAR BETTER THAN YOURS.

Author: ….
Author: I can read that, you know?
Grey: ….
Grey: Please….read my story too… 'Parasyte'. I AM THE ORIGINAL CHARACTER, unlike this woman here.
Fleur: Blab la bla~
Author: that's it everyone for this short commercial break ^^. NOW, UNTO THE MAIN PLOT (which is also a subplot for the Dione's backstory.)
Grey: PLEASE PLEASE READ MY STORY~
Author: Y-YOU'RE…SQUEEZING ME, DUMB ARSE
Fleur: THANKS FOR READING, EVERYONE~
Author: Lastly, I have a confession to make. This story has a mind of its own. What I've written so far, from the…1, 2… 29 chapters (including this), are all automatically generated by my own hands, continuing the story on its own. I am just a medium, portraying the lives of the characters inside the novel. For an example, I didn't wish for Pura's death nor Fleur being bitten…I think, buuut in any case, I too am also interested where this novel can bring me.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you guys and gals for giving this novel a chance to be read. 'Til then, I'll see you around! ^.^
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dione's Perspective—Previously from before~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"Well, isn't it Grey Turner!"
Rogh chuckles from his post and puts the ship into a halt. He then orders his men to rally the emergency boat stationed near the anchor of the ship, and attempts to save the 6 survivors stranded on the nearby coast.
"Dione, please lead them right here" My father hands me a combat shotgun held from his arms.
"Got it" Despite being a girl, Rogh and his men trusted my benevolent efforts, as I sprung hastily in the scene.
My combat prowess had been polished by numerous military individuals closed to my dad. Furthermore, I always seize any opportunity that I could muster, and thoroughly observe and replicate their movements.
Swift yet calm, tranquil as the forest; I could never forget the words that were given to me by my master. I had yearn for growth and enhancement. Winning over countless competitions that involves martial arts, which greatly improved my body and added more money in our pockets.
I summersaulted my way towards the jiggling boat and headed straight towards Grey. The men left on the cruise were all armed with snipers and rifles, protecting my behind. No matter how skilled they may be, I alone wanted to save the greatest asset alive, which was Grey.
With a loud *thug* the boat had finally stopped. I turn around and wave at the survivors, who were still pre-occupied from the swarm of zombies' battling against the onslaught of our heavy ammunition. I too started firing at the passing infected, as I hurriedly grabbed everyone in the miniature boat.
"Thank you"
"Save your thanks for later, Grey"
The moment that the survivors had found their comfortable seats, I cursorily pumped up the engine and charged straight back from our humble abode, and eventually arrived at the foot of the cruise.
The people above aided and lifted us up and quickly checked Grey's group for obvious marks inflected by the horde.
"ALL CLEAR!" the inspector assigned from the job announces.
Soon after, Rogh climbed down from his lofty chimney and welcomed the new group in our sail. It was followed by a massive roar of cheers to the success of my mission, as they lifted me up and hailed my name.
DIONE DIONE DIONE!
And thus ended the scene.
"Everyone, we are pleased to meet you! I can't thank you enough for spending your precious time saving me and my people. My name is Grey Turner, the son of the great Scientist, Andrew Turner.
Here on my right are my two loyal maids, Quinn and Marionette
On my left are the soldiers who remained by our side, Henry Andres and Zack Minerva
And lastly, a girl named Annette Santos with her German Shepard dog, Danny.
We are here today not to cause a disturbance, but to seek a decisive cure in order to stop this god-forsaken virus. The path may be treacherous, but I will assure you that we will meet our goal. I have obtained the recipes needed to form a promising treatment, and now, shamefully I shall ask once more for your aid. Join me to achieve the freedom we have long lost deserve"
Vibrant roars coming from the people of this boat had zealously immersed the entire voyage, and not a single individual was seen dull nor displeased. Their merry heart lingered from each of their faces, and the aspiring ember of hope blazed like the warm sun.
My father, seemingly moved from Grey's aspiring speech, salutes to the young kid, with bravery and confidence. His men did the same, as they all went and saluted to the genius teenager poised at the centre.
I ventured forth from the middle of the crowd and meet once more the world's greatest hope.
"At your command, Grey Turner"
"Your first assignment will be stealing the valuable pendant from Wattson, Paula"
--------------------Back to Fleur's Perspective-------------------------------------
"So, uhm, what is it that you've been wanting to talk about?"
I was mercilessly beaten 10 TIMES IN A ROW,
10 FUCKING TIMES,
By Dione herself in game called poker.
I believe she had cheated on me since the very beginning of match, but I had never found any leads from her doing it.
Let's leave it like that, shall we?
"R-Right. I've been wanting to ask this" She hesitantly points out my pendant wrapped around my neck. It was the necklace entrusted to me by Pura before she had died.
"This? It's a peculiar pendant given by a friend of mine" My face began to ease as I reminisce the times I've spent with Pura.
"Clinton?"
"No. Her name is Paula. Paula Wattson"
Dione's eyes widened upon hearing her name. Her hands began to tremble, and her usual giddy expression melded with the gloomy shadows enveloped from the faint light.
"P-Paula…Wattson?"
"Yeah…hmm, do you know here?"
She maintains her shocking appearance, still agape from the matter.
It was nearly impossible that the two had met behind my back, for all my life I have been together with Paula. Amidst from the conversation, Dione suddenly shrugs off her bewildered expression and maintained once again her previous smile.
"No. I was just amazed how lovely her name is"
She said and stood up, fixing her things.
"I, uh… I'm a bit tired. I'll be heading off to my room and…yeah, we should get some sleep, Fleur~"
"O-Okay. Good night!"
She calmly walks her way toward the exit door and gently shuts it from behind.
It was quite unusual for her to be this sleepy after a winning game, but I was left with no other choice but to hit the sacks and end the day.
The next morning came, and the same routine had greeted my face. The same old ceiling, the usual breeze released from the air conditioner hang on the wall; it was quite leisure to be in an enormous cruise living the life I've never had. I tucked myself out from bed and began fixing my hair in my restroom.
"Uh, did I misplaced my necklace or what?"
I stumbled upon my naked neck, with nothing attached to it. The snowflake-like necklace was nowhere to be seen. Since the time I've received the necklace from Pura, I've never placed nor left it behind, and worn it every day; even when I sleep.
-----------------------------Dione's Perspective-----------------------------------------
"I've gotten what you've asked for"
"Very well done"
A man in his obsidian cape slowly walked towards my direction. We were currently in a rendezvous to an isolated hallway far from the sleeping residents.
"Did you killed the girl?"
"No, not yet.
"You are meant to kill if needed—"
"It wasn't required"
"Hmm"
He pulls out his cape and reveals his face, as he closely draws his face nearest to my ear.
"Thank you"
A sharp combat knife pierces my abdomen, impaling my inner organs. Due the pain accumulated from the edges of the blade, I fell down on my knees, cowering in fright.
"AAAA"
Warm scarlet blood came flowing on the dirty-white floors of the hallway. The pain inflicted was enough to put me down, quivering like a worm. I had to pick myself up, however my damaged body refuses my command.
The man in question abruptly kicks my side, three times for good measure. The beaming ache traverse around the injured site, as I unintentionally groan from each of his strike.
With a grin on his face, he started to laugh, mocking my entire petty self.
"I can't believe you've fallen in a paltry trick like that?" His voice began to change, and the man in front, whom I believed was Grey, was now an entire different person.
Like a snake shedding its skin, he began peeling his mask beneath the surface of his head, and further disclosed his true identity.
"Impossible…Andrew…Turner?"
I gasp from the sudden revelation of the man infront of me. He wasn't residing inside Hong Kong, nor researching anything from the seams. He was here…
For the pendant that I've stolen.
"I believe you need ample amount of rest. Here, I've rented a room just for you"
He tosses me unto the nearby room and shut it from behind.
