The rubbles from the ceiling lightly tap my head, creating a mixture of both dirt and stones combined with the strands of my hair. The sensation was similar to the people around me who shielded themselves from the trembling roof above us.
Few of the civilians were weakly growling and moaning, unable to bear the frightening experience. However, there was nothing much that we could do but hope for a blessing that the ground and walls around us would not bury us alive.
Finally, the earthquake ceases, and the area around us returns to normal as if nothing had happened that shocked the residents of the place. However, through my observations, I found that the people gathered here in the chamber are full of both children and their mother. Alongside some couple of guards from here and there, it was just a few who had gathered underground.
"Why are we hiding?" I asked. "From what?"
