~ Third Person's Point of View ~
Heads and corpses are everywhere. The sounds of swords that being brushed and stabbed into the undead is certainly deafening.
All of them were struggling and vying to annihilate the undead due to lack of weapon and men.
"Yaah!" Cartlon jumped off and thrusts the sword into the undead's chest. Blood shook out from the wound upon rescinding his weapon.
For the last blow, Cartlon shoved it and run towards to protect the princess. He took a deep breath and exclaimed, "We have to escape your majesty! They are too aggressive and militant!"
Cartlon didn't let one of them come nearer to hurt Alice. He quickly swipes his sword to behead the beasts.
Princess Alice couldn't allow herself to stand and watch them fighting. She glared at the snarling undead and ready her sword for an attack.
She announced, "Don't let them bite you!" Princess Alice looked at them and added, "They shall be killed! All of them including the person who invented this infectious disease."
Phoax saw how the Princess fought the eating-flesh beasts with courage and confidence. He witnessed how Alice manipulated her weapon skillfully and ably.
But then, his eyes were stuck with the princess. Until he was being attacked by one of the monsters. "Grrggh!" It growled and snarled.
Phoax struggled to prevent from being bitten but it was too tough and strong. He used the spear to block the undead from harming him. Until it abruptly falls into the ground without making an effort.
The young man gasped heavily out of relief. He said, "You've been protecting me since we're both innocent, Hatius. Instead of fulfilling my promises to our father, I kept on breaking it. I am ashamed for doing nothing to ensure your safety, Hatius."
Phoax didn't know that it was Princess Alice who saved his life and not his twin brother. He was still bowing and embarrassed of himself for being worthless.
"Concentrate and everything you desires will follow," Alice uttered and simply turned her back to him.
Too late to realize, Phoax lifted up his head upon hearing the princess's cold voice. He was about to answer back but Alice already combatting against the beasts.
Guilt and conscience drew on the young man's face.
"Hatius is right!" Phoax said.
Cartlon and Hatius helped with each other to slay the remaining undead. Hatius said, "The Princess!"
Hatius suddenly remember Princess Alice when she's out his sight. He looked around but still, there's no one.
"Where are you, your majesty?" He screamed.
Cartlon saw Alice walking closer to them together with Phoax. He cleared his cotton-mouthed throat before speaking.
He said, "What happened, your majesty?"
"I saw Phoax aiming to get rid off the undead who attacked him but it wasn't easy."
Hatius bowed his head and replied, "It was an honour to hear it from you, your majesty. Although Phoax did something punishable yet, you helped him without a doubt and qualm."
Princess Alice shook her head and stepped closer to Cartlon. Her cloak was full of blood, most especially her sword. "Watch the twins, I don't want anyone of them got bitten while we're on our way to Morgan."
"Aye, your majesty!" Cartlon bowed his head and immediately followed the Princess's command.
Hatius and Phoax throw themselves into the ground to breath in. It was an undoubtedly exhausting and scary encounter with the undead.
Cartlon remained standing as he keeps on sighing too. He must be tired and startled about what happened earlier.
The crows came back but they can still hear snarling from afar. Alice watched the corpses and she instantly thought of the mage. Phoax said in an afraid tone, "We must leave the place, your majesty! An enormous undead is coming towards us!"
Hatius added, "Look at the crows, the trees and ground! They may be sensed and smelled us, your majesty!" He pointed the wide barrack, two meters away from where they are.
"We have to reach the barrack, your majesty!" Cartlon said in a calm way.
Princess Alice persisted to stay and wait until she sees with her naked eyes the approaching undead.
Out of her knowledge, Cartlon sauntered towards her and he murmured. "We can't let our guard down, Alice. We are barely anything compared to a large number of the beasts. We need to go and saves everyone including ourselves."
"They're here! We have to escape, now!" Phoax shouted while grasping his weapon so tight.
Princess Alice couldn't move her feet upon seeing the undead running towards them. They are like a person who is a barracuda. Fierce, hungry and surly.
She exclaimed, "Where they come from? I can not believe that it is happening!"
"Let's go, Alice! We do not have enough time to escape if we will stay here standing."
Alice replied, "Wait!"
She recognized one of the undead. Cartlon replied, "We have to hurry up and get out of this place, your majesty! Let us go, now!"
He grabs the princess's arm and forgot to ask her permission. Alice, could not stop thinking about the undead she saw earlier.
It seems like everything happened in slow motion.
"He is the prince I am referring to you, Cartlon." Alice murmured while running away with him.
The twins are leading the way into the barrack. Behind of them was Cartlon and Princess Alice.
"Wooh! I have never thought that I would experience such a thing in my whole life!" Hatius took a deep sigh and heard a surly angry growl of the undead.
Phoax turned his back and said, "Let's continue moving! We cannot win against them."
Her majesty used her sword to see what's going on behind. She saw the infected prince snarling, chasing them and leading the undead.
"This way, your majesty!"
Phoax leads the way and takes the short route. If they will take to the west and east it would be hard to reach the barrack on time.
The best route to take is on the Northside. Phoax remembered what Morgan said to him.
Along the way, Hatius leaned closer to his brother and whispered. "Where are we going, Phoax? We both knew that this is not the short and fastest way to our hideaway!"
Instead of being true, Phoax glared at him and bumped into his shoulder that leaves him dumbfounded and astounded.
