Their expressions turned serious as they pondered further. How about those experimental subjects, then? Should they have died there, too? Or, it was fated for them to not yet die, thus they were evacuated? They thought as they frowned, suddenly feeling uneasy. They have a bad guess. And, their guess was spoken by Jiu Ye.
Jiu Ye looked at them anxiously. "S – senior Feng and senior Lili…" he muttered. "T – their objective was to end the experiments, right?" he spoke in a small voice.
But, because the surroundings are silent, his voice can be heard by them.
"The – these experiments include both the researchers and the experimental subjects which are the cores." Jiu Ye continued when he saw that they didn't speak and so his confidence increased. "Then… then senior Feng and senior Lili… they should have…" he said and pursed his lips. He didn't continue since he knows that his seniors could guess what he means.
