Shen Sheng noticed Gu Shi's gaze on him and he hid the coldness in his eyes. "Come, let me tell you a story!" he said as he handed the snacks to Gu Shi who absent-mindedly received it.
"What… what story?" Gu Shi asked as he blankly hold the plate of snacks.
"A story about star-crossed lovers… who didn't know that they are star-crossed at all." Shen Sheng answered and smiled.
Gu Shi. "…" did Shen Taizi read a book recently, and wanted to share the story with me? He thought and blinked. "I – I see…" he muttered.
"Then, let's start!" Shen Sheng grinned. "Once upon a time, there was boy who has a mother that has fallen ill. They are just a poor family, and their family became poorer because his father is a gambling addict." He started.
Gu Shi started. Just from this, he could already foresee the outcome. But, he thought wrong when Shen Sheng continued.
