Chapter 1 - First Day Headaches

I stood outside the classroom doors waiting to be introduced. This was my fourth time switching schools in the past three years. It was honestly getting tiring but there was no helping it.

"Mr. Locke, please come in," the homeroom teacher called. His name was Mr. Witticker, I think. Not only was he my homeroom, but he was also my first period so I was stuck in this classroom for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Fun.

I sighed and walked into the classroom, where I stood faced with about 22 pairs of eyes staring straight at me. You'd think I would be used to this attention by now, but I honestly still can't help but feel anxious.

"Class we have a new student, so let's be kind and listen to his introduction."

"My name is Forest Locke and I'm not looking for any new friends so please dont talk to me. Thank you."

The class stared at me incredulously and the teacher cleared his throat. "Ahem. Well that was.. quite an introduction. Um, you can go ahead and sit in the free seat by the window."

I trudged , without a word, to the free seat which was located in the back of the classroom. Everyone seemed pretty shocked. Good. I was serious when I said I wasn't looking for new friends.

As the class droned on, I started to zone out. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me. Like lasers were being bored into the side of my head. However it wasn't someone in the classroom. I looked out the window and at the soccer field, where a class was taking place, not too far from the building.

What the fu- "Mr. Locke?"

"Huh?!" I jumped in my seat and was face to face with Mr. Witticker who was standng right in front on my desk. The class erupted in a small fit of laughter and I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Sorry," I mumbled, as he walked back to the front of the room. Well, that was pretty fucking embarrassing. Wait! Once realization hit, I turned my head, damn near snapping my neck, back to the soccer field, but the person had left. Where the hell did he go?

Before I can get further absorbed into my thoughts, the bell had rang for second period. I lazily gathered my stuff and put my earbuds in before heading to my locker.

As I walked through the halls, I let myself get lost in the music. Students seemed to blur past me as 'Lara by SASSY 009' blasted through my earbuds. Now though, I wish I payed more attention seeing as how I was met face to chest with a wall, and knocked on my ass.

This day honestly can't get any more embarrasing.

"Shit, sorry! Are you okay?" A deep voice sounded from above me. I hand was displayed in front of my face but I brushed it off.

"I'm good, thanks." I dusted myself off once I was decent enough I glanced at my attacker. Hold the hell up.

"Its you!" I said pointing at the guy I had bumped into. "You were the one staring at me earlier. Why?" I deadpanned.

His cheeks flushed a light pink and his hand moved to scratch the back of his neck. What the hell is going on.

"Well I was playing soccer with my class and I saw you and thought that maybe...I dont know...we could like...I mean-"

"Okay dude, get to the chase the warning bell is about to ring,"

He took a deep breath and suddenly he looked determined. "My name is Angel. Let's be friends." His hand was stuck out, for a handshake I assume, and his brown eyes seemed to sparkle. He kinda looked like a cute puppy.

Forest, snap the hell out of it! He is not cute.

But seriously, what the hell is happening right now?

The warning bell rung and I was thrown back into reality. Shit. I'm about to be late. I have to wrap this up.

"Look, I'm not really into the whole friendship thing, so let's forget about that, okay? I have to go or else I'll be late so...yeah."

With that, I sped off to my next class with the recent events replaying in my head. The day literally just started and I already have a headache.
