Ignes woke up feeling dizzy and a mild headache. His mind was all foggy with a sharp pain on the back of his head.
He tried moving his body. But instead heard the sound of his bone dislocating.
"Arghhh" screaming in pain, he thought, "Where am I?"
He tried to look around but faced with a pitch-black surrounding. He stretched his neck and glimpsed at the moonlight shining through the small gap from which he fell down.
"Shit!" he shouted. Slowly everything that happened to him yesterday was coming to him. He closed his eyes as claustrophobia made him dizzy and opened all the pores on his body.
Feeling sick, he cursed in anger, "Why the fuck is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this?"
After a minute of venting out frustration, Ignes tried to inspect the condition he was in. His left shoulder was dislocated, while the right one was bleeding but thankfully the blood clotted due to the pressure from the tight space he was in. Guess he was lucky in some sense.
He moved his right hand with difficulty and tried rejoining his dislocated shoulder.
"Arghh" he shouted in pain as the bone got relocated.
As for the legs, he doesn't even want to think about them for the moment. From the moment he got conscious, he couldn't get a single response from his lower body. It's like the entire lower body was paralyzed.
He reached his hands inside his pockets, hoping the phone still be in working condition and then cursed in anger.
His phone's display was shattered and most of the inner parts were visible. He felt like the gods were probably laughing and enjoying his current situation.
"Calm down!" he said to himself. He started organizing his thoughts and analyzing all the information he had. From the moonlight, it's obviously night time and if he could wait till tomorrow, his crew might.. Wait. They all resigned. He started again cursing the series of misfortune plaguing him non-stop. He thought whether the gods hate him so much that they want him to die the worst way possible.
Now his only hope was someone notices his absence and traces him back to where he is now. But looking at his current condition he was subconsciously optimistic whether he could survive before anyone could reach here. The closest town was 170 miles from here.
As he was thinking about his survival in a depth close to half a mile from the surface. Something happened which made him question his sanity.
He heard a voice,
[Planet 'Earth' scanning complete.]
[Ratings = 'F' Energy]
[Life Form's Intelligence = 'A' Highly Intelligent]
[Processing…]
[Due to insufficient energy and size of the planet 'Earth' with the required level of Intelligence of Life form, this planet will be merged with Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, and Neptune, 'Drafted for Initiation']
[Topography Re-adjusted to the gravitational pull of the Burning Star]
[KALI Project drafted for Initiation]
….
[Period needed to complete total evolution = 90 days]
[Transferring intelligent life form to the Mirror World until 90 days are over]
[Successful]
…
[KALI project starts in 3,2...1]
A string of words thundered inside his head. As the voice ended, Ignes found a green light passing above him, like some scanner from the sci-fi movies. It passed through a hair's length from touching his body. It happened in a second but Ignes clearly felt it passing by.
Then he heard a boom like something exploded. A bright light flashed from above nearly blinding Ignes's eyes. It was the last thing Ignes remembered before falling unconscious again.
As Ignes was unconscious, an army of meteorites fell from sky sending shock waves to every nook of the earth.
"Arghh, not again," Ignes grumbled in pain as he squinted his eyes from the glaring sun. He blinked in surprise as the sun looked a lot bigger than usual.
"Wait, why am I outside? Did someone rescue me? If they did then why am I not at the hospital?" he mumbled.
He looked around and found out the scenery looked somewhat familiar.
"Wait, Isn't this the mining site? Why am I still here?" he felt bizarre. It looked familiar but different at the same time.
Suddenly a reek of crude oil hit his nose. He tried moving his hands but found yellowish black liquid all over his body. After inspecting the liquid, Ignes could guess what might have happened.
Last night, the crude oil must have broken through the borehole and pushed him to the surface. Thankfully, he didn't drown and die. He slowly shifted his head towards his right where his machines and equipment were.
"What? What happened here?" Ignes shouted after finding his crane and heavy machinery were toppled over and buried under a thick layer of dust. His trailer and car were also found 500 meters from his usual parked position and that too in not so good position.
Then he heard a sound,
*Ding*

"Is this for real? What is all this stuff popping up?" he shouted, thinking whether his brain went haywire.
But something inside his mind said all those things are real. He started remembering the voice saying something about the KALI project and merging planet stuffs. He can't remember clearly but got the basic right.
Looking at the status bar where his health is glowing in red colour, he gulped air instead of salaiva.
"So, I have to spend mana to heal myself, right?" Ignes said not knowing who is he talking to.
He willed his mind and automatically the mana points went from zero to ten points. He suddenly felt a wave of refreshing feeling all over his body. Slowly his numb lower body regained some of its sensation.
After a couple of seconds, he regained some of his energy and lifted his head, and took a peek at his lower body. There were multiple wounds and two gore looking wound on his right leg. It looked like most of the impact were bore by his both legs, luckily nothing serious happened to his upper body other than some scrape wounds and bruises.
He then stopped himself from looking further and took some time to take all of that in.
