"Well, I'm glad that you've recognized the change." She said, meeting his gaze head-on.
The challenge shook him. His hands clenched into fists on either side of his torso, his eyes twitching with anger. Forgetting her earlier warning, his voice rose.
"All of you cheated me, including your wretched mother." He shouted, raising his hand above her. "You're all cursed."
As his hand came down towards her, Elize growled in warning, stopping him mid-air. He quickly dropped his hand, a flash of fear running through his eyes. But they quickly turned to slits as his body shook in laughter. His actions surprised her. Had her father lost his mind already? Had the dark magic in him squeezed itself into his brain before Aileen could get it out? She wondered.
