"Come darling, what are you waiting for?" Marium asked, drawing her attention once again.
Elize looked towards the smiling face of her mother. The light from the window cast a warm glow on her pale face. Her cheeks were pink from smiling, and her eyes had all the warmth that she remembered them to have held. Suddenly the door opened. The tall figure of a man came towards them in a hurry. His jet black hair was straight and combed back neatly. He was wearing a red sweater over a faded white t-shirt.
"What took you so long?" Came out his voice, filled with concern.
"It suddenly started raining, and I couldn't find her anywhere," Marium replied, closing the umbrella.
