Mirt laughed, pointing his finger towards the spot the little ones occupied only seconds ago. Elize narrowed her eyes at him in a warning. The selkie quickly stopped laughing, slapping his mouth with his hand. She smirked, shaking her head in sympathy. She walked closer to the water, looking around curiously.
"Where do you guys hide your skins?" She asked, waving her hand to the sides. "I don't see any lying around."
"I'd get in trouble if I told you that," Mirt said, shrugging with a timid smile. Pointing to the men and women playing in the water, he continued, "But most of them are half-human, so they don't assume the form of a seal."
Elize raised her brows in surprise. That was news to her. "Are there humans here too? You had earlier assumed that I was.." She trailed off, looking at Mirt curiously.
