The large goat sat in his secluded, cold, peaceful room looking over the realm covered in the blood red sun, the subjects seem to be happy with his daughters ruling and it always gave him a sense of pride knowing he did the right thing handing over his rein to her. Her mother not as happy as him but the demons had their time of happiness with her rein and now it's over.
Suddenly the doors to his room were opening and he was greeted with his lovely small daughter, it had been a while since she paid him a visit, he stood from his chair and placed his large claw to the ground so his daughter could climb on, once she did he pulled her close and gave her a fond smile. "What is the reason for your visit, shorty?" She gave him an unimpressed look, he knew she always hated that name but that was just all the more reason to use it.
"My heart is growing soft, father.." this made all his humour go out the window as his smile turned into a frown
"in what sense Lucy?"
"I found a rabbit, her blood smelled so enticing so I brought her back here but.. she is making me feel things, like how you described when you met mother"
oh so his little girl was in love, how adorable. He let bellowing laugh which startled his daughter and made her glare daggers, he let his laughter subside as he looked into her glowing red eyes with nothing but love.
"We may be demons but we don't have to be heartless and cold forever, you're in love and I want to meet the rabbit that stole my daughters heart!" He let out another small laugh as he pushed their heads together, she was known to be a fearless ruler with no emotion so she's probably just worried about being seen as weak but he knew she was the furthest thing from it.
....
Talking with her father always helped but she still couldnt help but feel weak and defeated and by a simple rabbit no less! She had to dispose of her.. she had to.. no one steals her heart, her heart died a long time ago.
She slowly walked the halls that led back to her bedroom, each demon that passed her bowing with respect and fear, this is what she loved, she didnt need another person to love her back.
She finally arrived at the two doors leading to her bedroom, she stood there not wanting to enter and be put back under that spell. She sighed to herself and pushed the door open and was greeted with a very happy bunny sitting at the door.
"Look! The guards let me go with them to pick my salad, it's so fresh and delicious, best. meal. ever."
oh no.
There it was again, that warm feeling in her chest. She looked down and examined the mix of fruits that the rabbit was showing her, it did look extremely fresh.. she reached out and took it from her hands, bringing one to her lips and taking a bite, the flavour was so amazing and even though it would never sedate her hunger she could eat these every day.
The rabbit was looking up at her with an expectant gleam in her eyes, like she was waiting for an answer..
"They're delicious, Chara. I see why you prefer these over meat." The rabbit frowned at this and looked up, the queens breath hitched as she stared back into those pools of lava she had for eyes, they literally were breathtaking.
"I eat these because it's what my kind eat, we dont survive on meat." Oh yes, she had forgotten that small fact.
"Well now you have your own garden on the border to provide for you, so there is no room for complaint no?" The rabbit nodded and did something the queen never expected... she hugged her. Why?
"Warm..." there it was again, she was calling her warm, the queen hesitantly wrapped her arms around the smaller creature and pulled her closer. Her mind was made up. This rabbit had to go by any means possible.
