Ned supposed three seconds of Overclocking was enough. He appeared behind the fan-pursuer and conjured a windball under the attacker's waist intending to momentarily immobilize them.
The tier 1 wind spell went to blast, throwing the fan-pursuer opposite of Ned but adjacent to the scissor-like-pursuer. The scissored pursuer lurched towards the flying companion and caught him, or her, mid-air. All happened in a mere second
The next two seconds were enough to throw off-balance the lead pursuer. Or so Ned thought since the lead pursuer has the finest control of the three. After Ned kicked him from behind his knees, he jabbed the point of the crude short-sword to the latter's shoulder.
The crud sword went to the latter's shoulder but Ned felt that he hit nothing but a wall of steel.
