Katsuya had a seat while Sora stood in front of him, scolding him about his actions in the alleyway.
"Not one, not two, but three people you brutally injured. Sure, they were criminals but you are an adventurer. If you accidentally used too much force, any one of their bodys could've been ripped apart in an instant. Should I remind you how strong one percent of your strength even is? I know you used less than that but still, you broke rule 1 of the contact at the adventurers guild."
Rule .1 In the contract clearly states the following: Contracted adventurers will be prohibited from using physical force against citizens unless in self-defense.
Not only that but, acting as a vigilante was against the law as well. Then there were the many bones he had broken in each of the thug's bodys.
Sora continued " You acted without thinking of the consequences. And breaking the Guilds contract is no small deal. Though luckily, that boy you helped was the only witness. And I doubt he knows you at all. "
Which was truly good news. If he could not be identified, there was no way he'd get in any trouble.
"Do not make this same mistake ever again. Next time you do something like this, you might not be so fortunate." said Sora.
"I… I won't do something again." said Katsuya.
Though his tone was convincing, deep down he couldn't forget what he felt in the moment of confronting those thugs. One moment, he had full-control of his action but, shortly after, he felt his body slowly be taken over by the monstrous instincts hidden in the depths of his mind.
'This has to be a result of me using monsterization back then.'
His memory recalled back to when he was moments away from death, forced to used [Monsterization]
If using it once caused effects like nearly going berserk, he didn't want to imagine what using it a second time would do. Would he end up losing his humanity, slaughtering anyone in his sight? Or would he get lucky and have nothing happen? Whatever the answer was, it was something he'd rather not find out.
Sora loudly cleared her throat before clapping the palms of her hands together.
Clap.
Followed by her voice, happily speaking.
"A lot has happened to you these past couple of days. Now that you're actually home, you should take some time to relax."
Seeing her eyes closed, her head tilted and a relieved smile across her face, Katsuya took her advice.
'She's right. A little too much has happened these past couple of days. Not only that but these past couple of months too. I really should take the rest of this day to chill.'
His legs brought him to stand from the couch.
"Sounds like a good idea. But first, I have to do my daily workout."
10,000 push-ups
10,000 pull-ups
10,000 sit-ups
10,500-squats
Katsuya wiped the sweat from his face with a soft-white towel. All while he panted in exhaustion.
'Will that workout be enough for today? I mean I feel a little worn-out but, I know I could do at least two times as much.'
He shook his head.
'Well, this is going to be a relaxing day, so I guess I can slack today.'
Afterwards, he stepped foot in a warm-watered shower. Washing the sweat from his body. His mind was able to relax as the steamy water constantly hit his body and soaked his hair. His mind wondered and thought back to when he was fighting with everything he had against Harley Vale. His body clearly remembered each and every one of her aggressive strikes. Even after taking every one of her punches head-on, he was still able to keep fighting. Though, he did nearly reach his limit.
'Was it a winnable fight? Was winning even a possibility?'
It was true that if he survived long enough, then [ Adapt ] would have allowed him to eventually overcome her. However, from the moment she got serious, Katsuya could just sense how much stronger she was than him. Maybe if she wasn't held back, then she would've finished him in that very second.
Katsuya couldn't help but chuckle.
'And here I am thinking I've become a monster. She's closer to being one than I am.'
Completely washed-up, the shower was shut off and Katsuya stepped out, drying his body. The towel dried his hair, then his face.
Katsuya glanced at his reflection in the mirror, seeing his eyes shining purple as he had removed his contacts before the shower. But he was not thinking about the color of his eyes or any of his facial features. Instead, he was thinking about the dark-demigod from the progressive dungeon.
'Maybe I should pay him a visit tomorrow.'
