Claire sighed as she searched through all the hanging bags of medications looking for one belonging to a specific customer. Weekends were far, far too short. She felt bad that she was still so busy when Ethan was off for the summer too. At least they had fun on the Fourth of July having a barbecue at the Jorgensens' house.
She managed to find what she was looking for and return to the drive-thru portion of the pharmacy. She picked up the phone and spoke to the customer outside. "I have two medications for you. That will be $11.76."
She opened the drawer that led to the outside and slid it back in when she saw they had dropped their credit card in there. She ran the card, stapled the receipt to the top of the paper medication bag, and slid the card inside it.
"Your card is inside the bag. Have a great day!"
"Thanks, you too!" the customer said as he took the bag out of the sliding drawer.
