Chapter 2 - Me Being The Tutor is Inversely Proportional to the Mood of [X]

I sat on the chair parallel from her seat in an attempt to set a great initial conversation with her.

"Let's get to the conditions that you want to set," I said.

At least for now, she accepted me as their tutor. Her eyes really looked like it wants to eat me alive. Yikes! I had to take every step slowly and surely.

"First, don't call me by my first name," said Aya. "Just stick with Natsuki or whatsoever. I don't want else to think that we have a special relationship."

/D-Does she hates me a lot than I expected?!/

"Whatever you say," I said.

"Second, the closest you can get near me is about 1500 millimeters," added Aya. I'll send your stomach to the abyss once you touched me or breached that measurement."

/1500 millimeters is about uh... 1.5 m. Tsk, is she testing my knowledge?!/

"How the hell am I going to teach with that proximity? I'm not like Luffy that has an elastic sort of body, you know," I said.

"Then strategize about it," said Aya. "You're the one who wanted to teach us, right?"

/T-This girl....! She's taking advantage of being dominant in this situation!/

"Third, you can't blush or get flustered when I talk to you or suffering an embarrassing situation that greatly involves me," said Aya.

S-She was that conscious of me, eh?

"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked.

"For example, when I accidentally touched you or you heard something from my mouth that could get you flustered, you can not blush or the like," said Aya.

/W-What a tyrant! I can't let this girl lead a country in the future!/

"Aren't you a little manipulative of my emotions?" I asked. "What's the basis of that rule, anyway?"

"It's an assessment on whether you have moved on from our relationship in the past," said Aya. "Perhaps, you still haven't, eh?"

/I-I can't believe she'll mention that right now! T-This is a challenge, right?! She's challenging me! Fine! I'll give it to you!/

"Hah! I am a moving-forward guru! Such heartbreaking scenario has been on the recycle bin of my brain already," I said.

/How's that? Pretty sure your eye pupil up to the optic nerve has seen how confident I am./

"That's good, then," said Aya. "Now for the fourth condition..."

/There's still a fourth one?! Even thermodynamics only had two laws!/

"You can not fall in love with me," added Aya. "Once you broke even one condition, then you are not worthy to be one since you can not compose your feelings."

She looked at me in the eye when she said that. It seems that she was serious but I saw her arms were shaking a bit as well. I couldn't figure why.

"T-That's the thing that I can actually do," I said.

/Me falling in love with her again? Hah! That's c-cringy!/

"Then you are agreeing to my conditions as I can see from your tone," said Aya.

Her conditions were too restrictive except for the fourth one, so I had to come up with a counterattack.

"Having four conditions sure is unfair, you know," I said.

"H-H-How? It isn't that unfair for someone who really wants to do his job earnestly," asked Aya.

"Hmm, can you grant me one selfish request?" I asked.

"What is it? Make sure it's decent," glared Aya.

"If one of your conditions is violated by you, yourself, then that condition will be permanently erased and you can not add any rules against me at any given time," I said. "Plus, since your conditions are a little bit harsh, then you must do a penalty as well once you broke your rule."

/Behold! This is my trump card! You can't do anything but accept it if you really are.../

"W-Why are you trying to gain control over here?! You're the employee and I am the-," said Aya but I interrupted.

"If you really are not conscious about me being here, then you should be confident that you can follow your conditions as well," I said. "You wanted to become an adult to shall exhibit fairness towards anyone, right?"

I used the line that she always said when we were together. It was her mantra and I had to use it against her.

"H-How dare you to say that...," said Aya.

"What's wrong? If you like to restrict me that way, then I have to maintain the balance between us," I said. "That way, everything would be fair."

I smiled at her to give her a little taunt. I felt like I outsmarted her a bit. Hehe, this felt good, to be honest.

"F-Fine, I'm good with it!" said Aya. "I'll show you how tough I am!"

/T-Tough? Anyway, it seems that I can proceed with the actual job right now. But for starters.../

"Shall we start, then?" I asked.

"Hmp, I don't wanna," said Aya.

S-She just continued to munch cookies and browsed her phone like I didn't exist in the first place! She even had her iPod on the desk as well! Was she listening to music before I got here?

"For now, what's your plan for the future?" I asked. "Are you going to college or not? If yes, what program are you planning to take?"

"Don't wanna answer," said Aya.

"T-Then, what your subject weaknesses?" I asked.

"Don't wanna answer," said Aya.

/I-I am about to reach my limit!/

I picked up the pencil eraser from the desk and threw it onto her head which hit her.

"Aw! What's the big deal?!" asked Aya.

"You're a pain in the ass, y'know?!" I said. "Can't you at least answer when I am asking you?"

"Y-You don't have to be that violent!" said Aya. "You should know it already! I still wanted to be an educator."

"If you have just answered my question immediately, then I wouldn't have to throw an eraser towards that thick skull of yours," I said. "What subjects do you struggle with?"

"N-Not gonna tell you..," said Aya.

/Huh?!/

"I'll do a little assessment," I said. "Answer my questions correctly, you study freak."

"S-Study freak?!" reacted Aya.

"On what period Buddhism was introduced in Japan?" I asked.

"Asuka Period, year 538-710," said Aya. "The Chinese Writing system came here that time as well."

/Trying to impress me with that add an information tactic, eh? Let's see what you got!/

"What is the main reason for frequent tornadoes in the so-called Tornado Alley in the United States?" I asked.

"The cool, dry air from Canada meets with the warm, moist air from the equatorial region in that place so large and severe thunderstorms spawn in that area so much and tornadoes are born from that kind of weather so, there you have it," answered Aya.

/E-Exactly on point! T-This girl is really smart, eh? Did she research it or what?/

"T-Then, translate this sentence in English," I said.

/Hmm? Did she got startled or what? Wait..../

"Tsuki ga kirei," I said.

"U-U-Uhmmm....," said Aya.

/I-Is she struggling? W-Wait, she's definitely struggling! Haha, crap why am I even laughing?/

"M-M-Moon..... i-is..... kirei!" said Aya.

"You didn't finish translating it!" I said. "So English is one of your weaknesses, huh?"

"Y-You don't have to mention it," said Aya. "Anyway, English is my only weakness, okay? Don't ask any more questions."

"No, I still have another one," I said. "What's the formula for the area of a sphere?"

She pouted and was shaking as she looked at me. She seemed mad when I asked that mathematical question. She then brought out her notebook, probably in Math.

"So, is it English and Math?" I asked.

"Y-Yes, unfortunately," said Aya.

/I-I can't believe this a bit... I thought these Four superpowers only had one subject weakness? I'm a bit baffled by this discovery! Did the headmaster scam me with this?!/

"How did you become a part of the four when you struggle at a core subject!?" I asked.

"I can't help it! I got a perfect 100 on every subject from the last semester except for these two!" said Aya.

/I don't know if she's bragging but I'm definitely pissed when she said that, a bit!/

"O-On this problem, w-where did I go wrong with this?" said Aya as she pointed on a specific note from her notebook.

"You're asking but....," I said. "How am I going to entertain you when I am 1.5 meters away?"

"If I lift my notebook and show MY notes towards you, you can see it, right?" said Aya.

"The thing is, my vision ain't that clear as in the past anymore," I said. "I have to get near to you if you want my help~"

/It's not true, though. I want to help her by showing her the steps by writing it while she's watching. In that way, she can understand it fully./

"Sigh, if that's the case, then let's do a LINE video call here," said Aya. "Wait, I'll call you so watch your phone if it notifies."

Here's when I realized something obvious.

"Wait, then my LINE contact is still saved on your phone?" I asked. "You didn't even ask for my contact username right now..."

She froze for a while. She realized something that she shouldn't have revealed, her reaction said it a lot!

"I-I thought you deleted my contact long ago...," I said.

She blushed so hard realizing that this was a super embarrassing moment for someone who proclaimed that he/she moved on already.

"S-S-S-Shut up!" reacted Aya. "I-I happened to forgot to delete it, t-that's why! Don't get the wrong idea, you hear me?!"

/I am feeling flustered myself as well but, I want to tease her a bit./

"Oh~ So that's how it is, huh? I get it, I get it," I said.

"W-What are you saying?! L-Let's just proceed with the learning session! I-Idiot!" said Aya.

/Wow, she's like a fire slime. She's blushing so hard. Though, I haven't deleted her in my contacts either. I-It doesn't mean anything, though! I just happened to be lazy debugging or cleaning my phone, that's all!/

"Enk, Natsuki Aya has violated the third condition~" I said.

"H-H-How?! Why?!" asked Aya.

"You blushed because I discovered that you haven't erased my name from your LINE account and that obviously involves me a lot, isn't it?" I said.

She was in awe that she inadvertently broke her condition.

"F-F-Fine, I'll abolish that condition," said Aya. "I-I admit that was truly restricting."

/You're saying that now?!/

"Oh, don't forget," I said. "You need to do an additional penalty."

"W-What is it this time?!" asked Aya.

/Eek, she's really irritated./

"As your penalty, erase the 2nd condition. The one that negates me from getting near you," I said.

"T-That's cheating! You're taking advantage of the situation!" said Aya.

"If you don't want, then I'll call the headmaster that one of the four faces of this school is currently misbehaving and therefore be subjected for removal of her benefit~" I said.

/S-She's shaking?!~I-Is she gonna punch me or what?! Of course, what I said wasn't true. I'm just teasing her./

"I-If you tried to do something to me, I'll kill you myself!" said Aya.

"Do I look like a pervert to you?!" I asked.

"Well, yeah," said Aya.

/S-She's too direct!/

"I swear I will not do anything bad to you! I just want to show you directly how to solve that so you can get it perfectly!" I said.

/I-I'm sincere about this, of course! I will not do anything, even though she got hotter than before! I swear!/

"Please teach me this carefully then, Sensei~," said Aya as she looked at me in the eye.

/C-Crap, why do I have this urge to blush? S-Shoot, is it showing already?! S-She's too cute!/

"Look, you're blushing as well. HAHAHA!" laughed Aya.

"E-Except that I am not!" I said.

I felt that my face was too warm at this moment. I-It's embarrassing!

"Sorry, I have to dash to the faculty room for the meantime," said Aya.

"What's the matter?" I asked.

"Not gonna tell you," said Aya.

/T-This son of-!/

"I'll be back in fifteen minutes," said Aya. "You can use my iPod while I'm away to ease your boredom."

"You're unexpectedly being kind to me all of a sudden, huh?" I said.

"Then don't use it!" responded Aya.

"Fine, fine, thank you very much," I said.

"If you touch my other stuff, you'll lose one of your phalanges. I mean it," threatened Aya.

"Y-Yeah, I'll guard it with all my heart!" I said.

/She can really be terrifying if angry! Yikes!/

"I'll see you, then," said Aya.

She left the room. Now, it was up to me to check what kind of music she was listening to.

"Hmm, so Pop Rock genre is still her favorite genre. We really have the same taste when it comes to this kind of stuff," I uttered. "Either way, let's play one."

The moment I plugged in the earphones to my ears and pressed the play button, the song's audio was so loud that I thought my eardrums got busted already! I immediately removed the earphones from my earhole and touched my ears to soothe them.

"W-Why is it on the max volume?!" I uttered.

/Wait, that girl... She intentionally did this! That's why she was kind enough to let me use this gadget! Looks can really be deceiving! Damn it!/

"Bleh~" teased Aya then ran away.

"N-Now you've done it! I'll give you a hell of a tutorial session once you got back here!" I said.

In the end, we decided to postpone today's session due to this skirmish and ended up having just two of her conditions effective. It was extremely nerve wracking! She wasn't that of a pain in the ass before!

The next day went on, and my confidence was back on the highest level. Though when I was on the way to the library after class hours, I noticed something odd coming from the science laboratory room.

"Mhm? Something smells weird...?" I uttered.

Sounds also were produced. It can be described as if someone fell to the ground and a glass broke at the same time. I came near the science lab door and the scent was getting stronger so I decided to check out what was happening. The thing was a girl wearing a lab coat, probably a first-year due to her school blazer pattern, was lying on the ground, unconscious.

"H-Hey!" I said.

/T-This scent... this is definitely some kind of miscalculated liquid compound!/

"G-Get a grip!" I yelled.

I was starting to get dizzy for real, so I lifted the girl and brought her to the library. What a perfect place, right? I acted on my reflex! I couldn't focus much besides on bringing her to the library since I felt extremely dizzy. I placed her on the table lying since Aya wasn't there yet and no one was there anyway since it was reserved for the Genius Four on that schedule.

As for myself, I desperately sat on the chair which I did but everything went blank shortly, then I fell asleep myself.
