I have had just about enough of aunt Bertha I'm leaving. I have decided that I'm going to sneak out to the nearest neighbor which is 5 miles away, crazy I know aunt Bertha was the only one with a phone and she always had it with her so I could not call CPS. Buuuuuut, I had a different plan. Since aunt Bertha has loads of cameras everywhere I have started a close investigation turns out there're not even real cameras. They're just small bowls covers in paint and it's fooled me for years! So I left on a Friday night since our bedroom had no windows I had to make it to the oddly small living room to escape. Avery told me that this was a bad idea and she said "if you go I'm telling aunt Bertha" which I replied with " if you tell she will know that you saw me then you'll be in the biggest trouble since last may" she made a small squeaking sound when I reminded her of "the incident". It was quite bad, but I made it out the back door and over the fence then I ran. But James came running after me screaming his head of probably one of Averys ideas, so I said can you run back to Avery and ask her to read you a book " but Missy I can read a book I'f I want to but I want to go with you" he insisted. So I turned out this was not Averys setup to get me caught so I told him ok can me and you run. We were only half a mile away and we still had 4 and a half miles left.
I remember I should have left him he was a big pain because he could not keep up so I just put him on my shoulders and started walking which was much slower as you can imagine.
Once we reached the neighbors it turns out they were not there so we camped out near there house till they can back. Well as out lives are a mess right now you can imagine I just marked down another tragedy in the books for when we where Waiting a raccoon came up to a sleeping James and scratched up his back. He wailed and sobbed while I tried to calm him down.
We saw someone pull up in a car if aunt Bertha had one we would have taken it but it was only five miles so I was not that bad. Everything went uphill from there we told this 60 year old man who calls himself little bob which I don't get because his IS quite old but I did not complain because he took us to the nearest police station.
I told them that they had to hurry and get Avery and Emily before aunt Bertha finds out we're missing. We drove is a car for the first time since mom and dad died and showed them where the house was they had their guns out and when aunt Bertha saw them there was a loud array of curses coming from her. Turns out she found out we left and got the whip from last may and used it on Avery again so she was left with dozens of new scars to go along with her old ones.
The police arrested aunt Bertha and took Avery, Emily, James, and me to the police station and got all the informational knew. They even took a bit of my blood which is when they found out that we are not even related to aunt Bertha.
After a long while police took us to an orphanage where we had to stay, it was much better than at aunt Bertha's house, but Emily and James did not think so. I think it's because aunt Bertha is all they know they have lived there since they were three but they would have to get used to it.
