Synopsis
After hundreds of years trapped in a marble coffin, Lilith was like a statue, completely still; her arms elegantly crossed over her chest with beautiful dark locks of hair neatly placed in a bun. It was quiet in the room. Until she woke up from her millennium slumber, as her eyes opened to adjust to the darkness. She had realised the time she had spent in the coffin was much longer than she anticipated... Instead of 10 years, it lengthened to 1000 years! Chapter 1 - Ch. 1 - The Awakening

Silence; there was nothing to be heard. Maybe a few creaks here and there but nothing more and nothing less.

Suddenly a loud bang echoed in the room as the top of the marble coffin was pushed away to the side, revealing a pale beautiful young woman within the coffin, comfortably laying on top of its velvet lining. The woman's eye lids opened slowly, as if her dark blood red eyes were trying to get accustomed to the darkness that surrounded her. Her thick eyelashes fluttered a few times before she sat up slowly, looking around to see if there was a way out of the room.

Getting out of the coffin was trickier than expected, after years of being in one position it definitely took a toll on her body and mind. She felt dizzy, her throat feeling as if it was bone dry like a desert.

Scanning the room again, she found a doorway which lead to some broken and creakey wooden stairs.

"These stairs are just ridiculous" as with every step it creaked, "it is making my headache worsen every second. I am so terribly hungry too, this is just not my day, I didnt think 10 years would make me feel so sluggish" she complained, the sensation of hunger growing little by little.

When she finally walked up the stairs, the young woman was met with a depressing sight to grasp upon. The grand entrance of the building was a mess, most of the statues were wrecked and chipped. The rooms' flooring looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years, plus the dust particles that engulfed everywhere made the girl cough.

"What happened here?..." she said to herself in disbelief. "How long was I alseep?"

It was currently night time, so when she opened the old and rusted entrance doors to the house, the moon faintly lightened the building; making her face even paler in comparison than before, like a porcelain doll, so perfect and unblemished.

Suddenly she heard a noise behind her, like a door opening and closing far away. Animalistic instincts kicked in, the canines in her mouth grew longer and sharper while her nails shifted into talons. A low growl could be heard, those red orbs scanning the room for any heartbeats to signify there was someone. However after some time waiting, humming definitely weren't the sound she was anticipating.

A man with blonde hair; long and let loose to sway with every step as if it danced along with the body's movement, walked forward towards the woman. He wore a dashing black suit matched with leather shoes, plus one single gold earring on his right ear that glistened from the moonlight.

"Lillith, you certainly have taken your time in slumber" he laughed softly, covering his mouth politely.

The woman, Lillith, furrowed her black eyebrows together in annoyance. "Alexander, what in the heavens is going on? Why is my mansion a mess and what in the world are you wearing?" confusion was prominent in her words.

"Care to have a guess what year we are in right now?" Alexander said cheekily to Lillith, forming a small smirk on his lips.

"Do you take me as some sort of foolery? It is obviously 1920, I only slept for around 10 years" she huffed, crossing her legs over.

Alexander sighed, "You didn't sleep for 10 years, you're slumber lasted for about 100 years. It's the 21st century now and it's the year 2020" he informed calmly, although there was certainly not an ounce of calm nature in Lillith's eyes as to hearing this information.

"Why did you not bother to wake me up!?" she shouted furiously, her nails elongating again. Alexander just grunted and sighed yet again.

"You know damn well why I couldnt wake you up, or have you forgotten that waking a vampire when they 'hibernate' per say, that a lot of things can go wrong. The body can go into shock when your mind is not ready to wake up and some vampires even go crazy and start attacking from hunger as it didnt subside during the long slumber. I have no idea how you slept for so long but I certainly don't have the answers" he crossed his arms in irritation, "you're lucky that I've been checking up on you for the last 100 years, who knows what would have happened if someone found you"

Lillith could only stand in confusion as everything just collided into her world. That she couldn't believe it was the year 2020, what had changed, what hadn't changed. She certainly knew that the styles have changed, just from looking at her friend Alexander. Compared to his clothes, hers looked dated.

Lillith finally just slowly broke down as she crouched onto the floor, her bottom feeling cold against the marble flooring. However her friend looked sympathetically towards the dark haired girl, kneeling on his left knee as he smiled slightly.

"Come now, no need to get sad about the situation. I'll teach you everything about today's modern world. You'll love it I promise, first you need somewhere to stay and I'll definitely buy you something more appropriate to wear tomorrow. That" he paused and pointed up and down "wont do, sorry just saying".

"How rude but...thank you" she sighed in relief that at least one of her old friends was here to help.

"Let's go to my car, I'll drive you to my apartment" Alexander helped Lillith get up as he led her to his very new and very expensive vehicle. Her eyes widened at seeing it, in her day vehicles didn't look so sleek and so futuristic. Although she was even more amazed when she entered the front of the car. There were buttons and signs she couldn't recognise, in the middle was a screen that showed some sort of text.

"Love love..love by Exon" she quietly said to herself. With curiosity, she fiddled with every little thing in the car and eventually pressed something that accidentally blasted the song. The car was filled with heavy rap music, not that she knew what that even was. Covering her ears she shouted to Alexander to stop the music. The moment it stopped, a sigh from the blonde came out.

"You have so much to learn Lillith" he said as he drove off.
