Zumokari was crouching behind a marbled pillar beside ruins of an old civilisation listening to the endless crackling sounds of gunfire across the horizon as it echoed across the scorching desert.
"Where are you"
Zumokari whispered to himself with his eye pressed against the sniper rifle lense.
His sniper was propped against some sandbags next to his handgun and a pair of range binoculars.
He was watching the fighting across the sand dunes carefully through his scope looking for some easy pickings through all of the chaos.
After all if you were down there you'd worry more about the enemy around you than the sniper 300 metres away, which was hidden by the sand shifting over the dunes.
"Hehe"
he thought as he found his next target.
His target was wearing a bright blue uniform with some band on his head and was ducked behind a balcony and seemed to be reloading his rifle.
Zumokari readjusted his sight so that he could see the target more clearly through his lense and saw that the target looked like a middle aged male with a very worried look on his face as he struggled to get the magazine back in the gun .
" I would be worried too, If I was down there"
He cracked a sinister smile as he squeezed the trigger.
A deafening bang from his sniper echoed much louder than most of the guns did. A second scan of the target confirmed that he was dead slumped down against the wall , as it turned out he never did get the magazine back in the gun as it laid in one of his hands on the floor.
He was just about to move his position since he'd been here for too long when a ding happened in his headset which signifies that the rest of his team were dead.
He got a call request from his squad mate james
He immediately accepted the call whilst packing his things into his backpack
"How'd you all die to bots?"
Zumokari asked james before he could say anything.
" I didn't think there'd be so many" he replied in a fed up tone
"Let me guess, you ran in with a shotgun recklessly and died" zumokari said while sliding down one of the sand junes
"Yeah bu-"
James was cut of when Zumokari spoke over him
"Anyway , how many are left ?" He asked
" twelve " James responded sheepishly
After hearing that Zumokari sighed and ended the call before james could make up anymore excuses.
As he made his way along the top of the sand dunes as quickly as he could he heard a terrifying noise. An engine noise could be heard from inside the village.
"Ahh crap" Zumokari thought
He knew that if it was engine that meant the enemy had a technical and that was a massive problem since all he had was a sniper rifle and a pistol with only two mags left .
As he was thinking of a plan he headed closer to the village to try and see if he could disable the technical without them realising since he was running out of time.
He made his way into a half destroyed house after climbing up some rubble and making his way through the first floor window a stealthily as he could .
Her peered round a corner to see an enemy standing in the doorway facing the other direction with his guard down.
"Perfect" he thought as he was going for an exacution. He crouched over behind him almost silently then almost like a snake he sprang into action and quickly with one hand covered his opponents mouth and was about to plunge his combat knife into the through of the one he had constricted.
However his heart skipped a beat when he saw somthing in his provisional vision that any sniper would recognise. sniper glint, And it was looking right at him like a god giving righteous judgement.
"Ahh cra-"
Zumokari was cut off after a bullet whent straight through his head as he slowly fell backwards, his vision faded to black with only two words left on screen - Mission Failed
