//IMPORTANT NOTICE!//
I know that you guys aren't papayas that would bleed instantly with a slight poke but let me post this warning anyway.
This chapter contains some slight drama. Well, slight because I did not go into too much details but do know that it was part of the 'effects' of Shin's actions. Due to his previous actions, it caused some problems to the people in his surroundings. However, that's just a minor thing. (It's a minor thing to me, anyway)
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆
Year 20xx, 4th of July.
It has been two months since Shin started to live in Heaven once again. However, he had to face a problem due to him leaving for almost two years. That problem is that the girls has been a lot more clingy lately.
Even though he absolutely have no problems with keeping them company and playing with them, Shin found it slightly troubling that they're now starting to fight each other. This problem was even more evident on his friends in the Kuoh Town. They became more irritable when they saw that one of their friend took advantage of something and got to be spoiled by Shin.
To remove this problem, Shin stopped spoiling them for a few weeks. He just talked to them when he gets down from Heaven but he actively avoided spoiling them. This puzzled the girls as they are not used to that kind of treatment. However, Shin didn't give them any answer as he just looked at them with a stoic look on his face.
That was the time that he knew he shouldn't have spoiled them too much. The only upside to his current situation is that he can still change this. Good thing he didn't spoil Xenovia, Jeanne, Asia, and Irina too much.
After ignoring their constant attempts to get spoiled by him, they finally decided to talk to him. At that time, Shin explained to them why he's trying to avoid spoiling them. He even apologized for it as he knew that it would've been the source of a huge disaster in the future if he didn't notice this.
At that time, even though they were slightly older kids now and can somehow understand things, Shin knew that it will be hard to get his feelings across to them so he opted to tell them a story that he knew. He told them how someone can be affected if they get spoiled by him, even going as far as telling them that they might turn into an ugly blob of flesh.
Even though some of his stories was exaggerated, Shin knew that he had to say that or they won't believe him. He told them the tales of some characters that he knew in his memories. Those characters who grew up being spoiled by their parents and how they ended up when they did something 'bad'.
After that, it seems that his message got across and the girls actually listened to him. However, for good measure, Shin also talked to their parents and informed them about his predicament. To his surprise, the parents actually believed his words.
The reason behind the parents believing Shin's words was actually because they have long noticed about those small changes in their children's behavior. They are their parents so they know if there is something wrong with their child. After their conversation, it was decided that Shin wouldn't visit them for a while.
It was actually Ichika's grandma who suggested this as she said something along the lines of,
"I'm going to take them to our ancestral house nearby to discipline them there. They will still study on the same school but during their free times, I will personally teach them. We parents and grandparents already talked about this matter and the Murayama Family even agreed to teach them some discipline, kenjutsu, and taijutsu that was taught in their family."
Although Shin was shocked by their sudden drastic move, he doesn't really have a say in this. Ichika, Akiko, Aoi, Yae, and Rana are getting influenced by him in a wrong way so he actually thought that it would be better to not meet them for the time being. It was for his and their own good.
『Your previous action of spoiling them too much has led to this situation. Although I'm not telling you to blame yourself for what happened, it is partly your fault for being too soft on them. Well, you're still a kid so I understand that you will make mistakes. Next time though, be sure to limit your habits. Like what you did inside that training facility, do it in moderation,』 Yuki advised.
『Yes, I now understand, Yuki. Xenovia, Irina, Jeanne, and Asia are being trained to be disciplined by the instructors so spoiling them didn't affect them too much. However, this time, it wasn't the case,』 Shin replied dejectedly.
Even though Yae and Akiko received some training, they didn't train as extensively as the kids inside the training facility. That's why he felt guilty. He spoiled them too much and that would've ended badly if him and the adults didn't take action.
That day, Shin had to say his goodbyes with Ichika, Akiko, Aoi, Yae, and Rana. Although it was quite a sad farewell at first, Shin just joked about making sure not to spoil them too much next time. He promised that he will surely visit them once a week after getting the green light from the adults.
Shin gave them a lot of hugs and pats before leaving. However, that's not all. He also kissed them each on their cheeks and said,
"This is a goodluck charm. I'll see you all again, okay? I will miss you, Ichika, Aoi, Akiko, Rana, and Yae."
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆
After that day, Shin strived to keep himself in check. They're still a kid and spoiling people too much while they're still young may affect them in the long run. So, Shin made sure to do it in moderation.
Due to that event, he managed to finally restrain himself a bit more. Although the habit of patting, hugging, and cuddling is still there, Shin now have the self control to stop himself whenever he felt like it. It was very different from two months ago where he would move out of reflex.
Although there are still some instances where he would lose his self control, it rarely came. So, because of this, his time with Haniel, Gabrielle, Raphiel, and Tapris decreased in frequency. However, this also made the girls value their fluffy moments more.
『It's good that you actually decided to keep your habits in check. I was actually thinking of warning you about that for a while now but it's good that you noticed it even earlier,』 Yuki said.
『It's really good. I avoided a disaster in the making there,』 Shin said.
Right now, Shin is on the way to Angel School. He's not going there to study, though. He's going there to ask the principal of the school if he can get access to the books related to the subjects that he wanted to study. Right now, he wanted to focus more on MagiTech(Magic and Technology).
He already brought the books about technology on a bookstore that he visited with Seekvaira. However, he wanted to have more sources. It's so that he can take some bits and pieces of information that is written on each book and learn from it. The more book he can read the better.
It took Shin a few minutes before he reached the Angel School. After greeting the guard, he immediately went inside, directly heading towards the Principal's Office. Arriving in front of the office, Shin knocked at the door and waited for the principal to answer.
*knock* *knock* *knock*
Not even a second has passed when Shin heard a reply.
"Come in," a voice of an old man said.
Hearing the confirmation, Shin promptly opened the door and entered inside the room. After closing the door, Shin greeted the old man who is sitting down on his desk. The old man already have quite a wrinkly face and his hair is white in color.
This old man has been a mystery to Shin ever since. He heard that Angels actually never ages after they hit adulthood so he's quite puzzled as to how this Angel in front of him is an old man already.
"Hello, Principal Sammiel. I'm here to visit and to also request something from you," Shin said bluntly.
The old man was clearly amused by this so he said,
"Hoho, what is it that our little genius want? I heard that you just came back from training. So, what is it that you want from this old man?"
"Mm. I just came back a few months ago from my training in the human world, Principal Sammiel," Shin said while smiling at the old man.
"Also, regarding your last question, I actually want to ask if I can borrow some books in the library. You see, I want to study more in the subject regarding Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Technology, MagiTech, and some other things that might help me achieve my and Tap-chan's dream," Shin added.
The old man listened in on what Shin wanted to say and he was surprised to know that this kid wanted to study once again. He was slightly curious about what this boy's dream is and why is it that he needed to study so many subjects in order to achieve it.
"What is this dream that you are talking about, Little Shin? Can you tell this old man?" Sammiel said.
"Yes, well, it's not like our dream is a secret, anyway. Mine and Tap-chan's dream is to fix the System that the God of the Bible made! Also, a personal dream of mine is to create a system that can help the Angels in their current population problem. You know, something like that Evil Piece system of the Devils!" Shin answered enthusiastically.
"Hohoho. That's quite an interesting dream that you and your friend have. It's one of the most interesting dreams I've heard in a while," Sammiel said while stroking his beard.
"Alright, I will grant you the free access to read those books related to the subjects that you mentioned. However, don't touch any book unrelated to those subjects that you wanted to study, okay?" Sammiel said.
"Yes! Thank you so much, Principal Sammiel!" Shin said.
"Hohoho, it's fine, it's fine. We adults are always here to guide you children, anyway. I'm also quite sure that you and your friends will be the future of Heaven," Sammiel said, his latter words said in a whisper that even Shin didn't manage to hear.
After thanking the old man, Shin began to trot towards the library. He is quite happy that he is now able to get the permission that he needed to read those books.
'With this, the very first step on finishing my quest is done,' Shin thought inwardly while skipping towards the library.
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆
After entering inside the library, Shin first greeted the librarian andproceeded towards the section where books related to MagiTech, Technology, Alchemy, Magic Weapon Creation, Engineering, Blacksmithing, and some other stuffs is being kept. He then took around 5 books about each subject that he mentioned and carefully stacked them so that he can carry it more easily.
However, he doesn't plan to read it all at the same time. For now, he plans on focusing on the subject of MagiTech and then further develop his knowledge about this subject before proceeding to a new one. He will, of course, read the introductory books of the other subjects.
Looking at the books about MagiTech in his hands, Shin couldn't help but smile. These books contains some introductory knowledge about the MagiTech, without the in-depth explanations of each subjects.
After taking the book, he immediately headed home. After studying these books, he's going to borrow more books until he get the hang of it. As the saying goes, "Knowledge is power!".
"Moooom! I'm hooome~! I'm going to read some books inside my room! Please tell Haniel-chan and Gab-chan that I am busy!" Shin said.
"Okay my dear~! Oh, is it something new that the Angel School didn't teach you when you studied there?" Murielle asked.
"Yes, mom! It's something about MagiTech. I wanna learn more about it!" Shin said.
"Okay my dear. Just be sure to come out for dinner okay?" Murielle replied.
"Yes mom!" Shin said.
He then proceeded to enter his room and sat in front of his desk. With books in hand, Shin began to bury his face on it, reading the book with a serious look on his face.
In this subject, it is extensively taught how people can theoretically convert electric powered gadgets by doing some things that will theoretically convert the power source of the said device to that of mana. With this idea in mind, a gadget can theoretically work without the help of electricity. All you need to do is channel your mana into it.
However, the in-depth details was skipped as this was just an introductory book and is not really a book that would talk about the subject at hand with more depth. Although it was like this, Shin continued to read the book as he really didn't have any prior knowledge about this subject.
He could've just asked Tapris about this but the girl in question is currently holed up in her own research laboratory, tinkering with her AnimalDex. She said something about adding more data to it. Most likely, the data she was talking about was the data about the animals on the human world.
Thinking about this, Shin remembered the silly expression on Tapris' face when she boasted about her invention.
'I'm gonna talk to her later about MagiTech when I find the time. For now, I'm gonna focus on learning more and more. With the realm, I have every time in the world to further my knowledge on this subject faster,' Shin thought before continuing to bury his face on the book.
Shin's quest to expand his knowledge has now began. Will he be able to achieve the amount of knowledge required to finish the quest that he got from Yuki?

A/N:
• We already know how bad it is for someone to end up being 'too spoiled'. I know some will disagree by the way I separated them but that was the only way I can think of to separate Shin from them for a while.
• There are always two sides on the same coin. Shin's habits have good and bad effects to others. In his early days, he spoiled the girls too much that they became too reliant on him. It won't be a long separation, though. After a few months, he will be allowed to visit them and interact with them.
• Ironically, I actually wasn't planning on doing that first part of the story until I wrote the first 200+ words. I thought, "Since Shin wouldn't be able to visit them for a long time, why don't I do something to make them stronger?". Then, the thought of their interactions since childhood played out inside my head and I figured that it would actually be plausible if I did that. Anyway, comment if you have any opinions regarding this.
• Now that Shin began to study, the time for the other characters to get stronger more has finally began. Although it was not planned, Akiko, Aoi, Rana, Yae, and Ichika finally had the chance to train. I was actually finding a good reason to send them out and train but can't find that reason for a while now. Good thing this chapter came along.
