Once entering her bedroom she walked into her connected bathroom to take a quick shower and wash off all the blood. She removed her bloody articles of clothing and kicked them aside to fix later.
She studied her reflection once more.
The area from where the hole was on the side of her abdomen looked simply pink. Running her fingers over the raw area on her stomach she winced. Then very, very gently she returned back to the same spot to feel the injury as a small disappointed sigh escaped her lips.
Her eyes traced back up her natural body.
Examining.
The cuts she received on her chest courtesy of the explosion, were now gone, and her biceps were almost back to normal now. Releasing a long-exasperated sigh from her pouting lips she made eye contact with her own reflection.
She narrowed her bright eyes and stared at the mirror for just a moment before jumping into the shower to wash the reminisces of the day off.
The voice in her head seemed to be stuck on repeat as the line 'This was not how today was supposed to go' kept replaying.
She shook her head to try and ignore the looming feeling of failure as she descended a bit down just below the cloud line.
The last signs of the day began to fade.
A creamy orange painted across the sky finally began to mix into a dark indigo. The moon was full, sparking a new wave of magic over the horizon, illuminating the earth below which encouraged the night life to stir.
She stretched her hand out towards the sunset dyed clouds while passing them by; she's always loved the way the soft mist felt as she raced through the sky. Releasing a rough sigh, after the day she had, Atanna would have loved nothing more than to go home, and pass out face first onto her pillow. However, due to a promise she made to her best friend, that will have to wait.
Flying over the forest, her shadow mimicked her from the tops of the trees as she batted her wings. The flight itself takes only about five minutes since the party she was guilted into attending was close to her own house. Peering through the roofs of the trees, Atanna can make out tiny glowing dots of the wildlife living within the branches sparkling up at her. She let a small smile tug at her lips, the knowledge of being watched only added to the feeling of magic that hung in the night air.
