"Father… That…" Edward's face had turned pale as he tried to glance back and forth between Elijah and his father. The former had his forehead creased while Elder Jones only sneered while glaring back at him in anger.
There was complete silence as nobody uttered even a single word. Edward and Olivia were too scared that they didn't even lift their faces to look at Elder Jones. If the word would be out then Elijah would not even glance at Edward, his son will abandon him… This thought would often make Edward tremble in fear. After a long silence finally Elijah spoke up.
"Grandfather, about which truth are you talking about? Do I know about it?" When Elijah questioned, even Elder Jones who had spitted out the words in anger earlier, his face stiffened. Out of spite he had spilled and had never even expected that his words would be bringing the past truths which might even turn the wound in his grandson's heart to turn green.
