Izuku "Deku" Midoriya, a four year old child sat on the chair in the quirk doctor's office waiting to see if he had a quirk. From what he experienced so far, with nothing abnormal happening, he was close to losing hope.
Soon, the Quirk Doctor stepped in with a confused face, and sat across from him, while observing his face, then he stood up, and whispered something to his mother. After he was done he sat back down across from him.
"Izuku, I'm gonna be frank with you. From what I've observed, I am not sure if you have a quirk, but there is something there. perhaps you'll have to wait a few years, but for now, I'm going to have to deem you quirkless, until then. Do you understand?", the Quirk Doctor asked.
Izuku showed signs of stress, but after a few moments, he nodded his head. "Y.. Yes sir! I know I may not have a quirk that I know of yet, but I must be able to gain one, right?", Izuku asked with a little more than a strained voice.

After Izuku and his Mother got home, he went straight to his room, putting on his favorite video of the once teen Strenuity saving lives left and right on her debut, and started writing ideas of what his quirk could be.
(Strenuity is just supposed to be Nana Shimura, I don't know her real hero name. It is almost a no male quirk users world, so go easy on me)
It wasn't a secret that almost no males received a quirk, albeit a useful one to use as a hero, but just like Izuku, thousands of boys had hope that one day, they too could be a hero.
After setting up a few hero names and quirk ideas, he grew a determined face as he looked up ways that could potentially awaken a hidden quirk. One of them was to exercise, and build his body up a bit. And he did just that.
