Chapter 1 - The Forging of Immortal Chains

In the beginning. There were four eternal forces, struggling for dominance with one another. Each equal in all ways. One could not exist without the others. Nor could one break free from the chains that bound them together.

These forces would wage a war of control with one another for an eternity. Before existence, before time, before birth, before physicality.

What weakened these chains and gave these forces freedom, thought, form, is unknown. Perhaps even to the forces themselves. Perhaps they were always meant to clash, to separate, to become free from one another. Or perhaps a fifth force, yet unseen, acting according to the whims of a cry to begin existence, took hold of the chain of fate and pulled loose the links that allowed the birth of the Divine.

Whatever the case, we exist now because of that defining moment before time had even begun. But from it came the Divine. The four great gods to whom all of existence now owes a credit.

Having taken their true shapes they set about building the universe. Each splitting away to give shapes to their ideal's. And thus, Four realms of existence were then crafted from thought and nothingness. One for each of the Divine. Then a fifth to be shared.

β€’Phithool, the immortal plane, and home of the Divine. The place to which all of creation is ruled.

β€’Yolvok, the eternal plane, and home of the Void. The cage that holds that which is from before existence.

β€’Hesh'shrum, the hellish plane, and home of the purged. The vault to which all that was will be remembered.

β€’Frumthul, the paradise plane, and home of the lost. The resting place of all magic.

β€’Hiisdeyim, the mortal plane. Home of the mortal races.

To govern all of creation and maintain a balance among themselves and prevent the struggle of non-existence from starting anew. Each Divine spoke their intentions into three laws each. What we call, The Grand Order. Mortalities' understanding of the Divine objective. Through these twelve laws existence is maintained and allowed to grow and evolve.

Akramon, God of Authority (Ahk,Ra,Mon). Creator of Rune Magic. God of Order, Power, and Existence. Depicted as a Lion with a mane of light and fur of blue flames. Whose voice is the rolling of thunder and the crumbling of mountains. The first Divine to take shape and father of creation.

The Laws of Authority~

The second Divine to take shape and mother of endings.

The laws of Suffering~

β€’ #1, Nothing that Exists, can exist Forever.

β€’ #2, The end must feed the beginning.

β€’ #3, To Exist is to suffer Existence.

Adamysty, Goddess of Growth (Ah,da,My,Stee). Creator of Inborn Magic. Goddess of Beginnings, Compassion, and Love. The third Divine to take shape and mother of beginnings.

β€’ The 12 Divine Laws were written in order of which law should govern the next as written by that god or goddess.

β€’ Each god or goddess wrote their laws in order of who should govern the most important aspects of creation. Existence, Death, Change, and Logic

β€’ Each god or goddess chose their aspects of existence in such a way so as to give the others some influence, without the risk of destroying the structure of existence as a whole.

β€’ Every single word holds its own power over and within the individual Law as a whole.

β€’ No single Law may ignore or subvert another written by the same god or goddess.

β€’ The gods wrote the laws to hold dominion over mortal life whose prayers sustain the immortal plain of Phithool.

Each Divine to accompany their Planes and Divine laws, thus crafted a magic to embody their ideals of a perfect existence. As much to empower themselves as to undermine each other. Rune, Dark, Inborn, and Elemental magic.

Akramon wished for the unbroken order of everlasting control, thus Runes when set into motion become sudo laws of reality. Unbending truths of the universe. Limited only by the casters' understanding of existence itself.

Phylgrum wished for all things to work in cycles, that nothing would go to waste, and that reality if ever it ended, would begin again, thus Dark magic when set in motion ensures nothing is wasted. All things are recycled forever on.

Adamysty saw her elder siblings' creations as fearful and too grand for the worms of the dirt and realized, if existence was to flourish, all life should be given an opportunity to thrive, thus Inborn magic was gifted to the lowest of the creatures of the world so that they might flourish as well.

Troxal feared nothing and desired but a single thing. To observe what was to come next but had a keen eye for flaws. The strong would rule unopposed in Runes. Evil would corrupt. The weak would suffer lest they were blessed by Inborn. But what of the common mind? Thus Elemental magic was gifted to all those who would learn it.
