By the time we arrived at our room, I had come to terms with my conundrum- I was definitely being bunked with a girl. I opened the door to reveal the room. They call it a "room," but it was more like a small apartment, complete with a kitchen, single bedroom, and a living room. In the living room was a large window, overlooking the grounds and the city below. I headed to the bedroom, and unpacked my things. In the room was a small desk, a bunk bed- rectangular crevices in the wall with 2 feet of space in between them and the roof. It also had a closet sectioned off in the middle, with drawers on each side. As Gail followed me in, she headed up to the top bunk and laid down.
"This is mine now." She stated, devoid of emotion. I chuckled.
"Okay then." I followed her example and got in bed. For some reason, as soon as I hit the bed I fell unconscious. Must be a spell, I thought as I fell asleep.
I dreamed that night. In that dream, I found myself in a grand forge. I was hammering and forging iron. I folded the iron time and time again, watching as it eventually elongated into a sword. Every time I hit the iron, I felt a hot, sharp pain in my chest, as if I was hammering a part of myself. In my ear, I heard (Skill Learned- Low Rank Craftsmanship Level 1), and every so often it's level would go up. By the time I had finished the shape of the sword, it was (Mid-Rank Craftsmanship Level 7).
I polished the blade, and saw that I had forged a jet-black Katana. In the blade was carved Tetsudama, and I finished the hilt. To be honest, I, myself, was not doing anything, I was but a witness to myself performing these tasks. When the blade was finished, I placed my hand on the blade, and felt my power flow into it, almost like the feeling of peeling off a scab that had been on a wound too long. When this happened, I felt a bond between the sword and I, almost as if we were one and the same. I touched it again, and it disappeared inside me. I then woke up.
Upon awakening, I sat up and hit my head on the bunk above me. As that happened, I heard hysterical laughter. I turned to face the source, and saw Gail rolling on the floor laughing.
"Good job, dork," she said, tears streaming down her face.
"You know, it's not THAT funny," I said, rolling my eyes. "What time is it?" There was no light streaming from the window, and it appeared to be night.
"It's late-thirty." She then again erupted in uncontrollable laughter. I flicked her forehead and she stopped, pouting. "Hey!" She exclaimed. "It's around 9:00 at night."
"Cool. Let's get down to the stadium, I want to see you fight."
"You thinking about making me your party member?"
"Depends." She laughed at my statement and lightly punched my shoulder.
"Whatever. Let's go."
We headed down to the stadium, and stopped in the center. She called her weapon, saying "Grimorium Verum!" I stood at the ready, but she looked at me with a confused expression on her face.
"Aren't you going to call your weapon?" She asked, bewildered. I was about to say I didn't have one when I remembered my dream. Could that work? I called out.
"Tetsudama."
My sword manifested. Seeing it for the first time made me feel amazing. Imagine not having something everyone else did, something you were teased about and bullied for, and then finally getting one. It was very invigorating. Bliss filled me from head to toe when I saw that sword floating in front of me. I grabbed it by the hilt and yelled- "Start!"
"Come forth and do my bidding- Kobold!" A draconic looking creature about my size wielding a sword appeared before her. It charged at me, and I ran at it, swinging my sword. I went to slice at it's stomach, but it blocked and kicked me in the groin. I groaned and hunched over.
I was fuming, though I soon realized that I felt no pain. My pain senses were dulled, and though it stung right away, it dissipated within the next second. My resolve hardened. I had to kill this thing. With my sharpened resolve, my sword began to to tremble, vibrating like crazy! As the Kobold swung it's sword a second time, I blocked it with the blade, slicing through the sword like butter.
As it looked at it's sword in surprise, I decapitated the monster, and swung my sword, leaving a semicircle of splattered of blood in the sand of the arena. Gail looked at me, surprised and tired. Her eyelids fluttered, apparently fighting to stay awake. As she passed out, I ran and caught her. I felt bad, it was my fault she was exhausted. As she fell unconscious, I heard the voice in my ear.
(Blessing of the Void activated- Acquired Skills: Low-Rank Summoning Level 2, Blessing of Hecate Level 1, Blessing of Janus Level 1. Acquired Title: Demonic Lord)
"I don't need this right now," I muttered to myself. She was surprisingly light, and I was easily able to carry her up to the room. I laid her down in my bed, for I wasn't about to carry her up a ladder. Sitting in the desk chair, I checked my status, and checked out my new skills.

"Those skills are insane! I have 3 Blessings now... I wonder if she still has them?" I looked over at her, sleeping peacefully. She really was beautiful. It was hard to believe that she was so mean, while looking so girlish in her sleep...
She stirred, and I looked away, blushing. That was creepy, I thought. Why did I do that? I shook my head, tired of myself already. I grabbed a couple blankets from her bed and draped one on her, and one on myself. It smells like her, I thought to myself before settling in. Tomorrow is the dungeon, so I'd better get as much rest as I can. I closed my eyes, and steadily fell asleep.
