Chapter 69 - Li Amm De's trial results

A puff of soul came out from the gate of regrets.

That puff of soul was a bit lighter in shades compared to the other souls, it bobbed up and down towards the three.

Liam jumped towards the cute children, "Jack and Jill! Nice to see you! I missed you two!"

Jill avoided her while the good Jack instinctively opened his little arms to catch her fall.

"I have such a fulfilling and wonderful life in that world! My bucket list is 90% complete. But with me being the Empress, and an empress with the shortest reign in the history at that, that experience contributed 10% as a bonus. In total, I am 100% in completing my task in that life! I feel no regrets at all!" Liam's cheerful voice rang in the inggots' ears.

"…" However, the three still have those unexplainable expressions on their faces.

If Liam soul's had a head, it must have been tilted in wonder.

"What's up with that 'I need to hold on my shit' face?" Liam could not help but ask.

She had just completed a list that not a sane person could do. Wasn't that amazing? Wasn't that worth a praise? Why the heck this inggots looked at her like she forced them to eat shit?

Jack, the good boy, opened his cute mouth, "You just died.." He said a bit confused.

"..so easily.." Old Meng nodded.

"..and cruelly.." Jill added.

"…" Liam. F***, her death played in her mind. That was not a good death for someone who doesn't have regrets.

But Liam wouldn't just let them judge her because of her sudden death.

"Hey, it's not my fault, that that foolish crown prince would smash the mirror-"

"You used the mirror as a shield." Jill corrected her.

"..well, yeah I used it as a shield, should I used the comb as my shield instead? Anyway, I did not regret that I don't have my eyes on my back and choose where to fall."

"You slipped clumsily." Jill interrupted once more.

"I did not slip, that damn prince pulled me!" Liam defended herself. It was not because of this mistake that she won't pass the trial right?

"Listen, Old Meng-" Liam turned to oldest who would likely judge her than this little Jill who was prejudice to her and seemed angry of her for some reason, "- it is not my fault that the divine maker would create my beautiful back as fragile as a paper. Besides, many people died young. I didn't choose any of this. Do you get me? It means, I don't regret even the way I die." She said that strongly. Though the shame of dying kissing the mattress popped up in her mind. Liam pushed that thought at the back of her mind.

Old Meng finally closed her open mouth. She coughed loudly. She peeked at the gate of regrets. An ominous aura was coming on their way.

'Shit.' Old Meng cursed inwardly. What happened in that world was out of her expectation.

She clicked her fingers to close the gate of regrets temporarily. No one noticed this little move besides the little Jacks and Jills in the underworld department.

She then gestured her hand in the open air, a folder appeared. Old Men pushed her eyeglasses and started reporting to Liam, "Don't worry, your luck in your last life affected your life in the gate of regrets, thus affecting your life in that world. Though, it clearly ran out in the end as you died miserably. I will start reporting, do you want to hear good news or bad news?"

"Uhmm.." Damn, there's bad news!

"Bad news first," Liam said as she finger crossed.

"Okay, for good news-" Old Meng started.

"Hey! I said bad news!"

"Sorry, good news report is on the first page. "

Liam harrumphed to this wicked Old inggot. Why bother asking her then?

"As I was saying for the good news, you amounted a lot of luck in that world. The little guy you brought home became the Emperor and united the countries in that world. He established peace between empires. And his siblings were legendary, hmm, that's a lot of halo of luck." Old Meng said with approval.

Liam's soul trembled with excitement. Little Chian became the emperor! And the other children are successful too!

Then suddenly a question pooped up her mind,

"Ren Shou doesn't have children?"

Ren Shou became the emperor after she left. As an emperor, one should have many consorts to bear more imperial sons and daughters.

"…" The three gave a knowing look at each other.

"Oh, the guy you sent to die but managed to survive also benefited you a great halo. You changed his fate, instead of his original fate of sending him to the gate of punishment with his master, you freed him and gave him his own path." Old Meng redirected the topic. She then gave Liam a thumbs up.

Liam was stunned. The only person she sent to die was Twelve. She managed to change his fate? So she can do that?

Old Meng continued the next pages, Liam was stunned to hear that there was a lot of halo given to her.

Because of her, there were orphanages created in that world. There was a new system created for the servants to not be abused by their masters. She also contributed a lot to lessen the violence and killing in that world.

After hearing all the reports, Liam cheerfully commented, " Yey! I did good things though I don't know how! Does it mean I will have some huge luck once I reincarnated?" She excitingly asked.

Old Meng just looked at her with 'don't celebrate yet' look.

Liam stiffened.

Oh, right. the bad news is yet to come. That was why she liked to hear bad news first so that good news would make her feel better after hearing bad news.

"For the Bad news-" The three shared a fake 'hopeless' look.

Liam noticed that fleeing glance they shared.

What was that? Why did she feel like the three was gloating on the bad news that was about to come to her?

"The decree of 'no dragon family was spared', give you a huge amount of reduction in your halo. Dragon families were blessed by gods, killing them mercilessly especially the innocent and clear ones was like cursing your next lives." Old Meng explained.

"Hey, I didn't kill any imperial family. Nor I did any orders regarding that." Liam complained. That was a huge amount of luck that she painfully gathered!

"This decree was made to honor you."

"Huh?"

How cold this honor her? Was that really her fault?

"Thousands of men were beheaded innocently gave you a great number of reduction in your halo."

"What?! I didn't-"

"They died because they protest about making men wear female gowns on a special occasion. And if my record was right, that yearly event was created by you."

Liam's soul trembled. She doesn't know that! She was innocent! She did not make that day as a holiday!

"And also, five empires were fully annihilated. It deducted millions of credit from your luck. There were millions of innocent people out there who were murdered." Old Meng made 'tsk' 'tsk' sound as she read the reports that this bloody war lasted for five years.

"The heck..what was the reason this time? To honor me?" Liam said mockingly. She was really mad inside. Millions of credits...just gone..puff. She could not even savor that halo before it was cruelly and forcefully taken away from her.

"No, it was because those empires gifted princesses as a tribute to your empire to replace you as the Empress. Unluckily, someone took that as an insult to you. Then you get the rest of the story." Old Meng said without any remorse, her tone was even more lively than delivering the good news earlier.

Liam was losing her strength. Her soul flashed a couple of times as her feeling of hopelessness and grievance overwhelmed her. Those were the things she didn't do but now was carried by her as a freaking burden for the rest of her lives.

"H-how many..how many luck do I have?" Liam carefully asked. She was afraid to hear the answer.

Old Meng checked her status.

"Hmm..negative. "

"…" Liam wanted to pass out.
