In Lianne's memory, this woman, Anna's loyal dog, tried to befriend Lianne before and showed her around the parties. The woman treated her well at first, so the country bumpkin Lianne liked this first cousin who helped her choose dresses and accessories that were supposedly appropriate to wear at the parties. She even taught Lianne how to put on makeup.
Lianne had thought she had found a considerate and friendly cousin.
Sadly, the play was overturned soon. The other's kindness was only a pretense to get her trust and made her look like a fool in the parties. It turned out that Anna instigated the female cousin to approach her.
The dress she made Lianne wear was either what Anna wore previously, or new yet very tacky ones. The accessories she wore were Anna's mother's outdated accessories and did not match with the clothes. The makeup she wore was not appropriate for a sixteen-year-old.
