Inside the car, the three children were quiet.
Until Tim's serious voice sounded.
"Cess, why were you making a scene earlier? You know clearly why Mom cannot go with us."
Cess hugged Eleven tightly.
"Meoww!"
The white cat tried to escape from her tight hug and succeeded. The cat went to Lei's lap.
Lei secretly felt happy and played with the cat. He gently patted and brushed the soft fur.
Tim: "Cess."
Cess looked down. "I know. But Mommy really changed. Can't Grandpa and Grandma forgive mommy?"
"This is not about that. If our mother visits Grandpa and Grandma, then Patrick might learn about it. Hell will break loose again. He might think that Mom is pestering our grandparents to have him back. And Anna would just make it worse."
The two children turned quiet with Tim's lecture.
They knew it already.
"Then can't Grandpa and Grandma live with us?" Lei asked.
