Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Northern shore Village near Brill in the kingdom of Lordaeron. In the early morning when the sun is just about to rise from the horizon.

In a hidden corner of the village covered by trees, A human boy of about 8 years old is carving on a piece of wood half his size. The boy has brown hair with green eyes and swordlike eyebrows with a sharp nose.

The boy's name is Ryan Strife. Wearing an ordinary pair of gray clothes and pants, Ryan is using a short knife he borrowed(stolen) from the kitchen to make a wooden sword.

Ryan is a very cautious person probably because he already died once. That's right, this is already Ryan's second life. He used to be an ordinary inhabitant living on a planet called Earth.

Ryan used to think that he just reincarnated in some medieval world but when his grandfather, the village chief started to teach the kids his age some common knowledge about their world last month. It was to his surprise that his grandpa told them that the name of the kingdom in which their village falls under is named Lordaeron. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

He literally got reincarnated into one of the most dangerous worlds to be in, in the most dangerous country which will get destroyed by its own prince in the future.

On the bright side, when he probed the village chief for more information. He found out that he still had 12 years give or take till Lordaeron is destroyed because the prince Arthas Menethil is only 13 years old now, five years older than him. Hence the situation now.

Knowing how dangerous this world is, Ryan hoped that as a traverser, he had his own welfare of some sorts.

"System? Status? Grandpa?.... . MENU!? AI CHIP!!!?.... M*th*rf***er!!!! ..... ..haaaa~" Ryan sighed after a whole month of crazily saying those words, He was already fed up so he just went back to finishing making his wooden sword.

~~~
'All right, that should do it.' said Ray as he was about to pick up his wooden sword. As he picked up the sword and raised it. Something inside of Ryan clicked and he felt like the sword was a part of him.
'Hahahaha! I knew it!' exclaimed Ryan in his mind as a blue screen appeared in front of his eyes.
Title: none
Rules: Sword Splitter(locked)
Rank:Trainee Swordsman 0/10
(As weak as an ant, basically a hundred precent chance of dying when confronting any enemy)
After seeing what was written in his status screen, Ryan can't help but cheer that his guess was right.
'After accidentally getting killed by a sword in my last life, during the last month I thought that my welfare might have something to do with it. Now I don't know if I should be happy or sad, or as the novels say whether to laugh or cry' pondered Ryan amusingly.
'If I had known about this, I would have borrowed(stolen) the sword of one of those militia earlier. I'd probably get beat up but still it would have been worth it. Now, time to see what this status screen is all about' thought Ryan.
'System show me the details of my status screen.' Okay I guess it's voice activated thought Ryan.
"System show me the details of my status screen" said Ryan.
'Still no response huh' I guess this system has no AI attached phew, atleast I dodged a bullet there.
Let's see, I guess I have to focus my mind on clicking them in order to get more details. Then start with Title first.'
TITLE= the more unique your title is and the more people knows your heroic deeds, the more people will worship you. Their reverence will generate faith and these faith can greatly increase your comprehension.
'woah, no wonder those nobles and the royalty in the game can be more powerful than the civilians' thought Ryan 'okay next up is RULES'
RULES= only those who have the chance to comprehend the rules of the world can step into the Hero rank and the ranks after it.
'Haha great! This means I can definitely step into the Hero rank in the future, it's only a matter of time.' thought Ryan 'next is RANK'
RANK= the level of power is divided as follows:
Trainee swordsman(weak ant)
Basic Swordsman(common mob)
Intermidiate swordsman (Elite)
Advanced swordsman(Paragon)
Master Swordsman (Hero). . . . . .
each level is further subdivided into low, medium, peak.
'I feel like this status screen is mocking me, always emphasizing that my current rank is a weak ant this, weak ant that. Please give me a break okay? I'm still basically a toddler now. Don't mock a young man for being poor!' sighed Ryan aggrieved 'so basically the power level of this world is divided into common, elite, paragon and Hero but I feel like there should be ranks after Hero. I guess I'm too weak to view it for now as i'm not even a common mob yet'
"There you are, Ryan!" suddenly someone shouted from behind him.
He was so startled he accidently dropped his wooden sword causing the blue screen to disappear fron his eyes.
'I guess it only appears when I'm holding a sword' pondered Ryan quickly as he turned around to look at who was calling him.
"Oh it's you Sven, what do you want?" asked Ryan.
This little boy with blonde hair and blue eyes is his side kic- . .I mean his friend Sven.
"Grandpa Jack told me to call you for breakfast" said Sven with beaming eyes clearly looking at the wooden sword on the ground.
"ok lets go and don't even think about it. I'll make you your own wooden sword after breakfast" said Ryan as he got up from the ground while picking up his wooden sword.
As the two boys walked together towards their home.
Ryan was now very confident about his safety in the future.
With his welfare, it's basically a matter of time for him to reach the Hero rank and his future is guaranteed.
As long as he stays away from those important points in time, he's sure that those bronze dragons won't notice him.
As for saving the world and whatnot, as far as Ryan is concerned it's a hard pass for him. Let those protagonists handle it.
Now Ryan has to think about how to keep his fellow villagers safe. After all that the villagers have done for him over the years. He already treats this place as his home and he is going to do all he can to keep them safe.
