Kristine was in the kitchen alone cooking as the others still had to go to work. Ronald too had come earlier on to pick her mother up to go out, so she was now the only one around. It was almost evening time and everyone was soon going to return. She decided to prepare them a meal so they could eat together when the others arrived.
She was busy preparing vegetable salad when she heard the door banging loudly. She lowered the fire and washed her hands before going to the door.
Ready to scold the person on the other side, she was surprised to see Ray when she opened the door and frowned. She tried to close the door but it was like he had anticipated her move and quickly held the door in place.
''I waited till everyone left'' he said, his eye burning with anger as his gaze travelled up and down Kristine's body.
