Much to my surprise, another companion happened to have planned to come with me and Alexander as he escorted me to the city's gates.
"Baron Pierre, good day to you. This is quite a surprise," I greeted courteously as soon as my first former instructor joined us inside the carriage.
"I do hope that it's a pleasant one, and good day as well," Baron Pierre greeted back, smiling amicably.
"I apologize for not saying earlier, Lily. He insisted to come after learning that I'd be the one escorting you to the borders," Alexander chimed in from beside me to which I simply shook my head in understanding.
"It's alright, Alex. I'm quite flattered and honored to be in the company of my former instructors before I go, to be honest."
"Huh? Wait, a second... Did the two of you just...?"
