Finally. I woke up at the right time, and the sunset is simply dazzling. It's all going according to plan! Village Chief, check. Samurai Punk, check. Devil Clown, check. Fish, check. Hooch, check. Clothes, check. Tonight, my fellow friends and followers~ We shall have the festival of fun! I'm so excited, I could cry right here and now. No, I am crying. Right here and now~
Wiping away the tears with my paws, I transformed back into my Human form. Ahhh! It's good to be back in the swing of things! These past few days have been brutal for me. Answering my prayers, Village Chief knowingly began to start the fire. I think I'm in love. Just kidding~ He's too old for me. By far. Also, Goblins aren't really my type. No offense. You're fine for companions, but that's about it. You're not even that good of war potential if I'm being honest. I might end up being proven wrong in the future, but I have not felt physically attracted to a single Goblin since being born into this world. It's a wonder how this Village is as peaceful as it is, just judging from your own haki. Actually, my Crows might be helping with the haki as of late. At least during the night shift.
I have two Tier 3 Crows which theoretically each rival the Goblin Chief, and Two tier 2 Crows which theoretically rival the Goblin Chiefs two main retainers. You could say that I produce a very suitable flex towards the Goblin Village every single night. You could also say that I produce a very suitable replacement towards the Goblin Village leadership. It's not intentional, I swear they just like to be outside! It's not like I can access them all the time anyways, so I can't even replace the leadership! They constantly fly above me in circles, as if wanting to kill me. However, it's actually for protection I think.
Because I spend most of my time in the Village or nearby, most monsters just dont even bother with me. After all, there aren't a lot of Tier 4 monsters in the Lost Kingdom. Fish cant even reach Crows, but the same goes in exchange. They're a bad match up. Does this mean that the little white and blue critter from before is actually a Tier 3 or above monster? Dammit! I need to know more!
While merrily creating some last minute clothes and bringing out the Hooch and Fish, I began to incite the party. It's time to begin, people! Everyone! Get into positions! Clansmen! Step forth and bring the rowdiness! Lets go, people! This night is special! Goblin Wheat Farmer Sama seems to understand immediately. He gets it. The Fish? We're starting off with the large Goldfish, no splurging tonight. It's all on me. This one's got you covered.
We had a great time, and after a short while, Mr Scarecrow began to sing. It was more like screamo music, but I enjoyed it. It's been awhile since I heard music. When he was screaming, he made loud bangs on the ground with his thrash attack. It was good percussion. He could actually make a large variety of screams, and when he begins to sing it's more of a low pitched voice. It always sounds as if he constantly has sound effects manipulating his voice to make him more monstrously though, and I think that might be why he's so musically talented. He's got a lot going for him, this guy. I could see him being a professional entertainer after I'm dead and gone. Maybe even while I live? We'll see if an opportunity arises.
White Wolf Lady is a real battle junkie and about halfway through the night, she convinced Mr Scarecrow to a duel. A fair and square match between my two Tier 4 Clansmen. I'm moderately interested in the results, so I'll fund this match in Candy after it's all said and done. I'm generous. In the heat of the moment, it seems that one of my Tier 3 Crows has also challenged Goblin Wheat Farmer Sama. You've got some nerve for a Crow. To my surprise, he aptly accepted. Oi, how the heck are you going to fight a Crow without any subordinates; Shaman?!
It's happening in the Prairie fields south of the Village. The ones infested with Slimes? Yeah, those ones. I made sure to bring my 6 buckets of Candy just in case. Those things are dangerous. Oh? It would seem that before the battle, all of the subordinates which aren't participating in the duels are going to go clear out a vast portion of the Slimes to make them stay away. Slimes ignore haki, huh? Those things have a lot of nerve too.
The fighters for the upcoming battle? Samurai Punk, Devil Clown, one Tier 3 Crow, and two Tier 2 Crows VS 100 to 400 Tier 1 Slime monsters. This battle might just be the most gruesome one scheduled for the evening. We brought the Goblin Hooch and a sizable amount of cooked Fish along. I say there's probably at most 400 Slime monsters, but I expect most of them to flee midway through the battle. Tis how wars work, after all. Deserters are common, and I don't care if they leave. These Slime monsters will no doubt recoup in a week or two, flat.
Sparing no amount of time after the combatants locked gazes, the battle commenced. The Slime monsters are terrifying in that they jump up unexpectedly at random intervals and destinations, but they oftentimes attempt to target the enemy and latch on. Once a Slime catches you, it's game over. They impede your movement speed, and slowly suck away at your HP. Similar to that one Wolf who latched onto Mr Scarecrow, but they can actually fit several of themselves on you. Trying to get one off of you is a huge bother, and while you do it... You give valuable time for more of them to lock onto you. It's a never ending battle which is better met with a strategy of 'keep moving even if one or two get you, and never stop moving while killing as you move.' Be the lawn mower and you may stand victorious! That's what I think, anyways~
The Goblin duo stand back to back, and swing madly at any Slimes which attempts to jump onto them. Their blind side is no doubt their left and right. They can handle whatever comes from the front. Every few moments, they bolt about 5 feet in a seemingly pre-planned method. I don't understand what makes them choose to dodge at that time, but it seems to be somewhat working. If you have this tactic, why don't you just kill Slimes more regularly though?! Maybe like me, who needs bravery from booze to bathe in cold waters... They need bravery from booze to kill Slimes in tall grass?
As children, they would basically force another child to take all the hits from the Slimes just so that they could have a chance to be able to kill the Slimes. It makes sense. They're as terrified of the Slimes as I am of cold water. My fears seem irrational now, but it's all because I'm a Cat; I swear! Rather, I certainly wouldn't step foot in that pit of Slimes either. I simply don't have any combat abilities myself though. It's out of my control. I'm so low on the totem pole of combat abilities, that I don't even have a Tier, dude. I have war potential abilities. They're two entirely different hurdles that require two entirely different approaches, okay?!
My Crows are actually taking my approach! They're flying extremely low to the ground and using [Sharpened Claws] to thrash any Slimes which they accidentally come across; just like a lawn mower. They must have judged that the tall grass made it too difficult to find the Slimes, so it's better to take a more barbaric approach. I wholeheartedly agree! The Goblin duo is certainly doing fine, but I dont think they're killing nearly as many Slimes as my Crows are. They're probably just trying to be cautious, as they dont want to be covered in Slimes. I understand it.
White Wolf Lady and Village Wheat Farmer Sama are having a grand ol' conversation while I assess the battlefield and have inner tangents. Mr Scarecrow is sitting down watching the battle, and the other Tier 3 Crow is sitting on his shoulder. It's a touching moment, but I need to focus on the outcome of this battle. Checking the status of my Crows, it seems that one of them has incurred Slimes latching on. It needs help. Picking up my Candy, I begin to funnel it MP.
As I watch, it appears that my Crow is incapable of ridding itself of the Slime. Thankfully, it's ignoring it and continuing on the mowing. The Goblin Duo have incurred quite a few Slimes latching onto their bodies, but they're bravely pressing on. I've now leveled up 3 times from this massacre, yet it shows no sign of ending anytime soon. I'm having a great time, I'm happy that I came. I wonder if the Goblin Duo might actually Evolve from this experience? I'm hopeful. I'd like to see a time where these three Goblins are not in a relationship of master and retainer, but of peers. It would be nice.
Actually, in a rather similar way to how I gain shared experience from my Clansmen... Does the Goblin Chief earn shared experience from his retainers? If that's the case, there's a chance that he himself might Evolve tonight simply by watching this play out. They'd probably never become equals, but they still might evolve to Tier 3. Ahhh~I wonder what will happen! The fight still shows no sign of stopping, and my Crows are truly magnificent. I wonder if they'll gain the [Prairie Horror] title as well?
Thinking back to when I got [Fish Mongerer], I didn't actually gain it until I leveled up. There's a chance that my Clansmen can no longer gain titles, as they can no longer level up. Or maybe they must wait until I can Evolve them? Evolving seems at least similar to leveling up. Now that I think about it, I actually don't know if regular monsters have levels. It might just be Tiers. Maybe I don't have a Tier because I have levels instead?
I decided to ask Village Wheat Farmer Sama, and he gave me a face as if he was confused that I was confused. What's with this guy? Don't you know that I'm actually rather clueless about this world?! You have literally appraised me! I have [From Another World] plastered right on my freaking face! Probably after realizing that I truly don't know, he finally answered. I'm still eating candy as this all happens because my poor Crow is taking damage continuously.
Apparently, most monsters indeed have levels. When the levels reach a certain point, they Evolve. During Evolution, if a monster has achieved considerable feats in any number of areas; then they can earn a title. Titles give way to abilities, and all monsters are born with various abilities as is. During Evolution, abilities used often can even increase in proficiency. Good to know. I guess me reaching level 10 was classified as an Evolution. I don't feel any different, though? I guess Halloween Cats are literally perfect for their class, so there's no need to change?
Also, I feel kind of hurt that only my eating Fish was considered a considerable feat. I'm pretty sure I've done other things aside from eating Fish. Hello?! I used [Claw Fishing] to catch the Fish! I used [Disguise] to make endless supplies of clothes! I used [Enhanced Meditating] whenever I use [Flying Broom], and also whenever I'm basically awake! I use [Recovery by Sleep] everyday, [Barrier] whenever I battle, [Daily Candy] every dawn, and [Flying Broom] is how I go almost anywhere! I rarely walk unless I'm Fishing! I'm the epitome of ability dependent so why have none of them increased in proficiency?! Why is only my bottomless appetite for Fish worth noting here, above all else?!
Maybe I just haven't been alive long enough yet? Do I level up too often? If I stay alive for a long time and then choose to level up, I'll surely be able to increase more abilities if I think about it. So, should I not be having my Clansmen kill these Slimes?! Am I doing the wrong thing here?! Oh god! Oh no! Holding my head in my hands, I begin to feel somewhat sick. Stats are nice and all, but ability proficiency is important too! What's with the weird and convoluted method of progression in this world? If there's a max level, I think I'll die of stress!
While I lost my mind and ravenously ate Candy, the battle came to an end. I-I missed most of it. I leveled up quite a few times, and I actually gained ability proficiency WHILE I was previously twitching in despair. What?! Once again, I managed to drown out my surroundings and blatantly ignored the fact that I actually have nothing to worry about. My feats hath been noticed! Level 20 counted as an Evolutionary period, so it's all good! I'm actually currently level 23 though. I should be desperately close to having earned my [Wailing Keep]. Status was as followed~

Woah, okay. So. A lot of my more prominent abilities have been leveled up. But the interesting thing is that my [Disguise] leveled up twice. I think it's related to my newfound title dubbed the [Master of Disguise]. [Master of Disguise] probably originally would have given away the [Disguise] and the newly found [10 Minute Makeover] ability. Because it would have given me an ability that I already possessed, it simply increased proficiency? It makes sense, I guess.
Looking at the [10 Minute Makeover] ability, it seems that it lasts 10 Minutes. It gives you a full on outfit, probably from the same brand as the clothes obtained with [Disguise]. It properly gives you an actual costume, but it only lasts 10 Minutes. I can choose how much MP I spend on casting [10 Minute Makeover]. So I guess that if I choose to, I could temporarily gain a really sturdy set of armor at the cost of however much MP I currently have on hand to splurge. The thing is, my MP is kind of like my HP. I can't afford to spend all of it hoping to gain absolute resistance if it means leaving my actual HP which is stupidly low to fend for itself. I'd probably die if I chose to go all out on [10 Minute Makeover], but it's an interesting trump card. I could never hope to otherwise gain clothing as sturdy as what [Disguise] WOULD give me if it were even nearly a perfect roll in regards to my current maximum MP.

That's the sad part about [Disguise]. I need to dim down what I'm capable of obtaining by a very large margin to even have a plausible way of obtaining the perfect roll. Sadly, the [Disguise+2] shows no details relating to what was improved. Looking at [Barrier+1], it would appear that it gained an optional effect. The Barrier was originally like a small oval around me. Now, I can make it more tight fitting to the skin and whatever I hold. It's helpful if I want to physically go punching monsters while retaining a Barrier. [Shapeshift+1] doesn't seem to have any info regarding the increased proficiency. Maybe that and the bonus for [Disguise+2] simply need to be discovered? Like... A secret? The other abilities that enhanced had descriptions but were pretty self explanatory.
Anyways, now that the war of the Slimes has concluded... It seems that I was correct. Samurai Punk and Devil Clown have both Evolved as well. They are not Goblin Shaman however, they look more beefy. Actually Samurai Punk looks beefy, but Devil Clown looks more lean. He's still a lot taller than Village Wheat Farmer Sama though. Seemingly answering my questioning gaze, Devil Clown explained quite matter of factly.
Devil Clown is classified as a Ranged type of Goblin, known as Goblin Caster. Samurai Punk is classified as a Melee type of Goblin, known as Goblin Warrior. Huh. The Goblin race is pretty diverse. Also, Devil Clown can use magic now?! Village Wheat Farmer Sama didn't Evolve. He's giving off a slightly dejected look. It's a shame, but I'm sure you'll reclaim your throne one way or another. Even now, I doubt that your retainers would want to wage a battle without you. You keep them alive. Literally.
With the battle all said and done, it's time for match 2! Fight! This round's combatants... On one side we have the brave, well respected Tier 3 Goblin Village Wheat Farmer Sama Shaman while on the other side... We have a terrifying Vulture, one of the Halloween Clansmen; a nameless Tier 3 Crow! Who will hail victorious?! Only time will tell. The combatants are rarin' to go. Goblin Village Wheat Farmer Sama has spit out his grass while nameless Tier 3 Crow has cawwed and rose into the night sky!
The nameless Tier 3 Crow is descending using its well known [Aerial Assault] ability to leap down and claw at Goblin Village Wheat Farmer Sama with a combo adding in the use of [Sharpened Claws]! What will the Goblin Village Wheat Farmer Sama do?! He seems as if prepared to take the full strike of the combination attack, but oh...Wait?! There's more?! Village Wheat Farmer Sama slammed his Common Wooden Mace into the nameless Tier 3 Crow, causing it to shriek and lose several feathers along with its trajectory.
The nameless Tier 3 Crow crashes into the grass only to have Goblin Village Wheat Farmer Sama ruthlessly dive on top of it, as if prepared to take whatever damage is incurred by leaping full force on top of those [Sharpened Claws]! Scrambling to get the nameless Tier 3 Crow pinned down, he receives several scratches and cuts all across his arms. Having gotten the nameless Tier 3 Crow pinned down, Village Wheat Farmer Sama begins to savagely bash it with his mace and... I have to call a timeout. This is going too far.
Animal brutality, much?! I should never have green-lit a battle between a Humanoid and a Bird. This is too much for even the drunk Cat. We're calling off match 2. I'll allow match 3 because I know that I can heal them after and check both of their statuses. Yeah. It's much more safe and humane. Sorry Crow, I'm sure that you were just about to get him; too. This rounds combatants are White Wolf Lady and Mr Scarecrow. I'm currently eating Candy to heal my Crow. Poor guy.
Now that he's all healed up, the battle has commenced. White Wolf Lady seems to think that her [Flame Paws] can burn through Mr Scarecrow's [Strengthened Grass]. It's a valiant effort, it truly is. It might have actually worked, if she still had half a dozen Tier 2 Wolves giving her support. This time however, they are being matched mano et mano. She hasn't gotten a chance to really get a good dig on him yet because of the relentless barrage of [Stalk Thrash]. Mr. Scarecrow is a Berserker, so I guess just mindlessly whipping his long arms around is his primary mode of battle. As a Brawler who needs to get in close range, White Wolf Lady is at somewhat of a disadvantage when trying to close the distance created by Mr Scarecrow's heavy and long arms.
She has more combat abilities at her disposal, so she can alternate between different methods of battle quite easily. Not only does she have [Flame Paws], but she has [Pouncing Kick] and [Wolf Claws] too. She's currently trying to use [Pouncing Kick] in tandem with [Flame Paws] to give her a mock flight. By doing that, she's trying to move in a confusing enough manner to get through Mr Scarecrows openings to deal massive damage from [Flame Paws] and [Wolf Claws] at the same time. As soon as she actually lands a blow, it's probably going to be game changing.
After about 15 minutes of thrashing and disrupting White Wolf Lady's strategy, Mr Scarecrow finally landed a finishing blow on White Wolf Lady. I say that, but her MP was at 25%. That's it folks, the show is over! Mr Scarecrow wins, and has been deemed my most powerful Clansmen. Yep. It's official. Haaah~
With the battles concluded, we began to travel back to the hut while I ate Candy to heal my Clansmen. I have spent a considerable portion of Candy on this fine night but it's a festival, so it's fine. My self proclaimed festival. Yosh! I have 4 buckets left. We still have plenty of Fish, and 2 bottles of Hooch if you count my spare. The night is honestly still quite young, and that suits my needs perfectly! I have lots to do! We still need to find my new outfit, donate to charity, and I definitely want to bathe.
After arriving at the Village Chief's hut, I made everyone go outside the hut and sit by the campfire while I sort through clothes as I'd need to be nude in order to figure out the stats. I say that I made everyone go outside, but they all naturally went there and so I just closed the door saying 'no peeking!'. While playing dress up, I sipped away at the spare bottle of Goblin Hooch and had a dandy ol' time. Just kidding. It required a solid 2 hours of me changing outfits in order to sort through the clothes.
The result? This entire hut looks like an absolute mess with varying sized heaps of clothes all over the place. The hut is actually kind of big, but that one heap… the duds. Yikes. Looking at it, I don't want to count many of the piles. But, there are 17 pieces of level 10 clothes. With this, I should be able to make a decent outfit out of at least level 9 ranging to level 10 clothes. Yosh! I'm excited to see my new look~
I have chosen the following pieces of apparel:
- Level 10 orange raincoat for 20 M. DEF.
- Level 10 tinted black circle-shaped sunglasses large enough to cover my entire eyes for 10/10 P./M. DEF.
- Level 10 dark purple rubber rain boots for 20 P. DEF.
- Level 10 yellow tee shirt for 10/10 P./M. DEF.
- Level 9 black swim trunks for 9/9 P./M. DEF.
- Level 9 knitted white fleece armband for 18 M. DEF.
- Level 9 black ninja belt for 9/9 P./M. DEF.
- Level 9 star shaped hairpiece for 18 M. DEF.
- Level 8 knitted black fleece armband for 16 P. DEF.
- Level 7 black hoop bracelet for 14 P. DEF.
- Level 6 silver hoop bracelet for 12 M. DEF.
- Level ? Emerald Gold Necklace for 8 INT.
I'm starting to feel more like a Halloween Cat now. I chose raincoat apparel because I'm often splashing around in water to catch Fish, but also because it happened to match the orange and purple aesthetic which makes up Halloween Town. I chose black swim trunks for the purpose of catching Fish as well. I suppose I could also bathe now without needing to get absolutely nude. The black sunglasses make me feel like Ozzy. As far as I'm concerned, no one's going to see my yellow tee shirt if I'm constantly in a raincoat so it's purely for the stats. My raincoat is actually pretty large on me, so it hides most of my body. The knitted white fleece armband was so comfortable that I had to go back around and search the level 8 pieces to find another. They're not noticeable under my raincoat at all. The black ninja belt is needlessly long, so I'm currently wrapping it up several times before tying it. It doesn't actually need to be witnessed either. It's like hidden bonus stats which won't affect style, whatsoever! The star shaped hairpiece is probably intended for girls, but my hair is on the longer side and I think it goes well with the idea of me being a Witch of sorts. It's also okay if I put up my raincoat hood now, because this form of head-wear does not affect my head shape. It might be a little uncomfortable with my Cat ears though. I'm thankful that I have no tail in my human form. Because the armbands are positioned higher up on my arms, I can still fit having a hooped bracelet on each wrist. Sadly, I wasn't able to procure any for a higher level, but I managed to scavenge for some in the lower level piles. I tried stacking on more than one per arm, but it didn't work. I didn't gain stats. Lastly, because expensive jewelry does not seem to want to come out of [Disguise], I still am wearing the necklace that I gained from the Bandit Camp. With my new outfit, my status is as follows!

I'm officially, the most difficult to kill of my companions. By far. I have seriously no offensive capability, but I'm now considerably sturdy. I must raise my evaluation of [Disguise]. You have served me well. There's no doubt about that in my mind. I'm currently twice as sturdy compared to Mr Scarecrow's prized P. DEF. I'm now 4 times as sturdy compared to White Wolf Lady's prized M. DEF. To be fair, White Wolf Lady's M. DEF. actually isn't high at all. None of my Clansmen actually have high M. DEF. yet but she's the best option for me to be compared to.
Now that I'm more sturdy than my Clansmen, it makes more sense to try and damage me by attacking my Clansmen instead of me. Because I need to heal them with Candy, If all my Clansmen fall and I am depleted of Candy, then the way to beat me would be to break my Barrier of MP and finish off my subpar HP. I'd no doubt try to fly away and escape, sacrificing my Barrier's strength though more and more depending on how fast I need to be and how long I need to fly.
If someone can beat my Clansmen down, my only option seems to be fleeing. No. Actually, fleeing is probably just my best option. It's not my only option anymore. Nowadays, this kitty is walking around with more STR than Mr Scarecrow the Tier 4 monster. Theoretically, I should be able to punch monsters at this point. It might not prove as effective as massive and sturdy stalks of hay crashing down on enemies, but it might still deal adequate damage. I find it strange that my STR is somehow not actually all too lacking as a Witch. But maybe it's because I'm also technically a Tamer? Tamers tame beasts, so it's not that shocking if I can actually wrestle with a beast... But it feels weird considering I have no actual offensive abilities aside from my [Fishing Claws+1].
Regardless of my newfound brute strength, if something or someone is able to take down all of my Clansmen; then I who am barely stronger than my Clansmen would surely also fall. My STR is not my strong suit, but it is adequate. My INT is by far, my most prized stat, being followed by AGI. My INT coincides with my MP, they raise at a very similar rate and I find it hard to believe that they aren't connected. It would be a pretty big coincidence if my necklace gave 16 MP and 8 INT, after all. Considering that fact and the fact that ever since birth, my MP has been raising at twice the rate of my INT... They must be connected. Maybe it has something to do with my class?
After I finished getting dressed, I stumbled outside of the hut to rejoin my companions. Everyone is dancing around the fire as Mr Scarecrow sings. What a joyous occasion~ Sloppily joining them in the dance with my new threads, we laughed and sang as the night went on. None of us could properly follow along with Mr Scarecrow's natural talent, but we tried anyway. After about an hour of that, I told the Goblins to go try to find a new outfit among the clothes.
I was eating some Fish by the fire when the three Goblins emerged one by one. First up, was Goblin Village Wheat Farmer Sama~ He came out with an even more decked out version of his previous look. Still playing Farmer? Okay. Devil Clown is now fully a Clown adorned in red. Hrm… Bloody Jester? Okay. Punk Samurai has transcended all expectations and is now a Viking. Goblin Viking. Yeah. I think Goblin Viking has the most natural look for a Goblin, but I'm not going to judge them. After all, I'm currently a Cat in a raincoat. None of us look ordinary, except him. Goblin Wheat Farmer Sama looks somewhat ordinary, until you remember that he's not just an old Goblin, but he's also a Shaman. If it were the modern world, I would look ordinary if I weren't hiding Cat ears under my hood, though. It's kind of uncomfortable to wear my hood down now that I think about it.
After giving my praise to their excellent costume piece picking abilities, we began handing out pieces of clothes to the Goblin Villagers. Just kidding, we just told them all to go in there and grab anything they want to wear. It was all gone by the end of the night, so it worked out fine. Village Wheat Farmer Sama decided to turn in early for the night and headed to sleep. I decided to take the time to go bathe. Bloody Jester and Goblin Viking decided to join me, so the festival continues~
Arriving at the Lake, I forced White Wolf Lady to return to Halloween. She's upset, but it can't be helped. The Fish monster would cause a riot. It's only temporary. She can try bathing in the alleged trick blood fountain back in Halloween. I'm sure it's fine. As expected, without White Wolf Lady here everything went fine. We had another splash fight, but then Bloody Jester used water magic and it all went downhill. I was utterly defeated by a mere Tier 3 Goblin and that's the story of how the Halloween Cat was vanquished. Just kidding~ He totally did win the water fight though. I was able to bathe in just my black swim trunks, so Mr Scarecrow didn't even need to cover for me!
After getting out of the water, while we dried off we stared at the stars and had meaningless chatter over meaningless matters~ Truly, tonight was worth the wait. It's been so much fun, but the night is sadly coming to an end. After drying off, White Wolf Lady returned and we continued our conversations on the way back to the Village. That's when I saw it! That white and blue critter! With very little warning to the others, I apologized and explained that I simply needed to figure out where the monster lived. The others seemed to understand, but told me to be careful. They're right. I don't have any Candy on me in case things go south, and the night is almost over. I'll be exhausted before long, and will probably undergo the exact same issue as last time.
The only solution I can think of is to physically capture this monster and have it lead me to its home later after I've fully rested. Okay. Yes. This is my solution. I need it captured alive, Clansmen! Go! I believe in you! I say that, but of course I'm going to try and help too. I'm well aware that I'm currently the highest spec monster here in terms of AGI. I don't know what the stats are on Bloody Jester or Goblin Viking, but I doubt either of them have a higher AGI than I do. It's just not what I would expect from their class names, sorry~
Becoming resolute, we all begin a mad chase after the one; slippery critter. The scene taking place became quite frantic as half a dozen Tier 2 to 4 monsters chase the small yet agile, cute one. As the prey hopped from tree to tree effortlessly making great strides in unpredictable methods, my comrades and I endlessly jumped, ran, and flew into each other a multitude of times. The frustration one experiences from being on the verge of success only to come face to face smashing into one of your comrades had been felt by each and every one of us after only a mere 10 minutes.
This creature is toying with us, and it's getting on my nerves. The strange technique used by that monster to jump between trees is absurd. It makes the monster almost impossible to catch. There's no way that this is a Tier 1 monster. It's way too fast. It must be at least a Tier 2 or 3 monster. At the very least. It's honestly not even the AGI causing the problems though, it's the movement style. It's like this monster knows every single branch in the forest. That's not even possible! Currently it's been jumping around a small distance area to mess with us, but last time I chased it all over the forest. It can't just be going based on instinct alone here.
There must be an ability. Something similar to echolocation, maybe? Regardless, I'm certain that there's an ability of some kind being involved here. If that's the case, then we have confirmed at least the presence of two different abilities in play here. One, that monster is jumping at incredible speeds. It must be similar to White Wolf Ladys [Pouncing Kick]. Second, whatever that echolocation thing is. Thinking back, I only encounter this monster when dawn is approaching. It might not have any abilities related to the sight in darkness. Does that mean that the echolocation ability is in fact, an increased visual perception ability? Increasing the range of view, to encompass a wider range allowing the monster to make calculated jumps at a seemingly impossible angle? Like bulging bug eyes? It doesn't jump directly backwards, so this might be the case.
The one and only way to chase it would be to follow directly behind in a fleet-like formation. If we had the Crows form a horizontal line chasing behind it, then even if it jumped backwards... It would be first grabbed by one of the Crows. If we could also have people following it from the direct right and left, then its only option is to jump straight, slightly off to the left, right, or up. Very well.
After explaining the plan to everyone, we did our best. After 20 minutes of chasing with the new strategy, we actually managed to catch it. It was a Crow that caught it. This guy. He was too challenging. I doubt any monster in the Lost Kingdom could catch this thing alone. After catching it, my Clansmen returned to Halloween. I actually needed to keep them out longer than normal, so I spent a considerable amount of MP to keep them outside.
After returning it to the Village, I threw some Fish in my treasure chest with the creature along with it. Shutting the chest, I used [Daily Candy] and threw myself on top of the chest before going to sleep. It wont open without me waking up! That's the idea, anyways. Good morning~
