-The Gods: 3 Hadres, He was a lawman in his previous life. He traveled the world finding and punishing those whose misdeeds made them dangerous. In his afterlife, he now gets to torment the souls of those whose misdeeds are severe enough to have been heard in prayer. When your soul was collected by Golliad your next stop was to be weighed for sin by Hadres and be punished appropriately.-
Ed stopped the story there and held up a hand. "So wait a minute, you have a home in town?"
"Yes, it was overrun with... vermin," Ko'Loss said not understanding the surprise in Ed's voice.
Ed was sitting on the edge of his seat trying to understand how Ko'Loss was telling this story so quietly and calmly. He seemed as if this was another day in the office. Just walk home and throw a band of looters and trespassers out of our home and recharge your house magical crystals.
"May I finish?" Ko'Loss said.
"Uh, yeah. Carry on." Ed said and waved his hand in apology.
-----
The house moved as the power flowed through it. Light spilled from lanterns as they kicked back to life all over the house. A door upstairs opened and a family of ancient house goblins came walking out. They had been masterless so long that this was a few generations removed from the old goblins that lived in there.
The oral traditions for them said when the door opened you were to go meet the master, and he was to be revered and ask forgiveness for their punishment. Ko'Loss wouldn't know what to make of this later because he had never considered being gone long enough for him to become a myth. He especially couldn't understand why they thought they were being punished.
Slowly the house got back to being automated. Ko'Loss had been a tinkerer in his previous life and each door, floor, banister, and piece of furniture had some kind of gimmick to it. The house was a living organism as long it had a magical power to feed it. That fact was why most people assumed it was haunted. Occasionally someone with some power would come in and reanimate part of the house. They assumed it was ghosts and left before they could see what really happened.
The butler walked up the stairs slowly. He was still technically broken and had to move slowly as he couldn't see well through his own eyes. The monocle that made up one eye was bent and when he tried to use that eye it gave him a view of the roof. It was very unsettling.
Ko'Loss walked into this study and found four men huddled around the desk. They had swords drawn and had decided that defense sounded like a better path to survival than trying to rush the invader.
"Please move," Ko'Loss said and pointed a finger at them. The man in the front dropped to his knees like a ragdoll as Ko'Loss released magic power at them. The other two looked on in shock before they rushed forward. The first one got his sword inside the giant man's knee joints. This caused Ko'Loss to trip at first but he put out his giant clay hand and used the human as a brace to keep from falling over.
The human crumbled under the weight of the golem coming down on top of him. He made a gurgling noise as his body was pressed against the floor. The two other men rushed at the golem with the intent to save their friend.
Ko'Loss stayed on one knee and got up from the body of the fallen man and used both hands to grab the heads of the two as they approached him. He slammed his hands together bringing the heads of the two men into each other knocking them out cold. They joined their friend on the floor asleep.
Two house goblins came rushing into the room. "Master, welcome to the house. How may we appease you?"
"Finally, my house obeys," Ko'Loss said pulling the sword from his joint and standing up. "Remove these people from the house."
The Goblins nodded and grabbed the three male demi-humans by the ankles before dragging them outside and down the driveway. Word spread among the house goblins quickly and they scurried across the house. As Ko'Loss and the Butler went room to room and dealt with each intruder the house goblins would unceremoniously carry them out the door and throw them into the street.
Room by room they cleared the house of invaders until Ko'Loss was satisfied that no one was left to remove. The house goblins formed a line at the gate and kept out any further intruders. The butler immediately started removing foreign objects from the floors and walls. He muttered obscenities to himself as she surveyed the damage of a millennium of habitation.
From outside the gate, the previous occupants sat on the concrete collecting their comrades as they were tossed over and through the gates. The ones who were still able to fight tried to get back in but the house goblins would swarm them like rats and toss them back outside.
From up the hill, the windows in the house lit up one by one. The vines that had overgrown the house were slowly coming down from the edges. Goblins were scrambling around the house cleaning up as frantically as they could. The master was home, and although they had not ever served him directly their scriptures gave detailed instructions on what the god wanted when he came home.
For over an hour this scene continued until the last limp body was tossed into the street like trash. The butler came down the walkway to the gate when the last body was tossed. He had found a set of clothes that looked somewhat like his old black and white uniform. He stood at the front gate, he was holding his mangled monocle trying to straighten it out with his good eye.
"Good Riddance! It feels good to have the master back finally!" He said and motioned for the gate to close. House goblins pushed the gate together and stood guard near the middle.
"What now, Master's Favorite?"
"What else would we do? Keep preparing the house. The master has plans, I am sure!" The butler said before turning back to the house and walking with a purpose. They may just be creations but the will of their creator was strong. Their creator may not be human anymore but he still had the same drive inside and these creations lived to serve.

Everyone stopped listening and looked at each other. The group question was "Why hadn't he asked for help?" The Knights alone would have been enough to cleanse out the whole house.
"So you took on the whole mob yourself?" Said For'Ten.
"Of course... I have been guarding... the oracle for a long time now." Ko'Loss said while rubbing his hands. It was a new nervous tick.
Loran laughed and shook her head. "To think you would go that far. Is the house ready now? How much damage did they do?"
Ko'Loss turned his face around his torso to face her. "It is complete. The underground sections were undisturbed. The upper areas will be done... later this week."
Ed shook his head in amazement. "Why did you go so far?"
"For you. I just need to help you... remember..." Ko'Loss said, pausing to look for words.
