Pedro had way more hard times than just the his dad dying before his 7th birthday, in fact maybe too much hard times. For example when Pedro was first born... I can't stay anymore, I have to go live my dream and unfortunately you and Pedro are not part of it, please don't take it out on Pedro and don't be dumb. Six years passed, every year feeling longer than the one before for Pedro and his father. Even in the present where Pedro is now 17, his mom has never come back. Pedro was alone ever since he turned 7 or at least it felt like that. Pedro lost all his friends and family so it was only natural for him to be alone. After everything that happened Pedro became an orphan ,it was only when Pedro turned 16 that he got emancipated. Of course the only reason he got emancipated was because he was sick of not having anyone but himself. Along with his parents gone and being an orphan he was diagnosed with being bipolar so he had tons of mood swings. Pedro might have just been a normal kid to anyone on the street but it takes a friend as good as tony to know about his past, and now all Pedro wants to think about is the future.
