Chapter 12 - Mardella, The White Witch

SELENE stares at the hand Kaden held out in front of her. For a moment, she hesitated but immediately stomped it down and tried to climb the steps of the large carriage on her own. Kaden looks at her with a baffled expression on his face. However, he didn't say anything and patiently waited for her until she successfully rode inside. He must have already noticed that she's been avoiding him since morning. Selene felt guilty about it, but she is not ready for another onslaught of foreign memories that might invade her mind if she touches Kaden's hand. She didn't say anything about what happened last night when she felt Elijah and saw his memories. Although Selene gets curious and almost asks him about his relationship with him, she thinks that it would be unwise to do so at the moment. And more importantly, Kaden doesn't like it when she's nosy.
