Chapter 3 - Race and Class Selection

After choosing the Angel race, illustrations introducing the classes appeared before him.

Vanguard, Mage, Ranger, Swordsman;

Vanguard: Class that uses the shield.

Reaching level 20 - Advance to Guardian or Knight.

Mage: Class that uses spells.

Reaching level 20 - Advance to Cleric or Wizard/Witch.

Ranger: Class that uses range attacks.

Reaching level 20 - Advance to Archer or Gunner.

Swordsman: Class that uses melee attacks.

Reaching level 20 - Advance to Blademaster or Assassin.

There's a thing that most of the people, except the Beta testers, don't know that there are class restrictions on the three races other than humans.

Angels can't be Assassins or Blademaster. Elves can't be Knights or Gunners. Demons can't be either Knights, Clerics, or Gunners. In the past, many of them regretted while choosing a race and had to wipe out their character to reset and choose a different race.

Coming to the hidden class, it's an open secret that there are four hidden classes existed in the game that can be acquired from certain NPCs, who will test your abilities in their own way, although, upon changing the class, the level of your character and attributes will reset to level 1. So, as the player's level increases, he'll less likely to choose a hidden class.

Palladin: A Healer-Tank Class.

Necromancer: Class that uses dead people.

Berserker: Class that uses a heavy sword and becomes stronger as their HP decreases.

Summoner: Class that uses beasts as companions and fight with a weapon of their choice.

Only Williard knew that the game did not just contain hidden classes but also two legend classes, Magic Swordsman and Elementalist. They can be acquired from the tombs that are hidden all over the world, although only five spots are allotted to each class.

He actually found out about it only after 3 years from an interview Bran and other top players gave one day, which made Williard quit the game as it was pointless for an ant to fight a boot and he felt that he was the ant, all along.

Back to the present, Williard immediately selected the Mage class.

Then, the classes disappeared followed by a voice, "Class selection is complete. Please choose a name for the character."

He replied, "Will."

"Name is taken, please choose another," Williard got the reply from the system.

"Raven" "Name taken, please choose another."

After trying out a bunch of names that were taken already, Williard said, "Time Traveler."

"Name is available. Please check the spelling and confirm your name."

Looking at the words that appeared before him, Williard pressed confirm.

"Your appearance has been synchronized. Please adjust it to your taste."

He looked at the Character wearing a mage robe before him with large wings and adjusted his nose, jawline, decreased his height from 5'11" to 5'9" and also changed his body to a normal one without any muscles or abs. Then, aged it and gave it a mature look.

After his character was done, he smiled while looking at his game character that completely looked like an average 24-year-old young man.

"Now, no one can recognize my identity even if they wanted to."

After confirming his appearance, the scenery around him once again changed and he was in space once again and before him was a globe of the planet.

"Please select a continent as your birthplace. As an Angel, you cannot choose Underworld."

Looking at the globe of the planet that was supposed to be several times bigger than their world, he saw there are four continents separated from each other by various seas and oceans.

As he can't choose Aynor Continent, Williard looked at the other three, North and South Zalfari, two equally continents in the west separated by a sea, and Xynnar, the largest continent that's as big as the three of the others combined.

He waved his hand and the planet rotated. Then, he pressed on Xynnar.

"Xynnar Continent is confirmed. Please select the Kingdom."

Then the globe disappeared and replaced by a map featuring several kingdoms.

Since his first goal was to pick one of the legend classes that only have five spots each, Williard selected the Kingdom of Llyne that's situated on the southern border of the Continent.

"Llyne Kingdom is confirmed. Please select the city."

Once again, the map changed to several cities inside the Kingdom. Williard then selected East Ocean City that was on the eastern border of the Kingdom and was connected to the Merton Sea. It's the closest location to one of the legend classes that can be acquired from a tomb in one of the Islands in the sea that was hidden from the map.

"East Ocean City is confirmed. You will be teleported to one of the random Angel sanctuaries around the City. Good luck."

The scenery changed and he appeared in one of the sanctuaries hovering in the sky above a beginner village.

The first thing he did was to mumble, "Show Character menu."

Then, suddenly, a screen that was visible only to him appeared before his eyes.

Free Attribute points: 8

Since he chose a mage, the system allotted Strength and Endurance attribute 1 point and added the remaining 8 in free points while for others, they will be allotted each differently, and for example, Vanguards have been allotted 1 point in Intelligence and Agility since they don't depend on magic attacks and Speed.

Likewise, Swordsmen have been allotted 1 point in Intelligence and Vitality since they don't depend on the Magic attack and HP, while Rangers have been allotted 1 point in Strength, and Endurance since they don't depend on physical Attacks and Defense.

For all classes, Strength increases Physical attack. 1 point increase in Strength increases Physical attack by 20.

Intelligence increases Magic attack and MP. 1 point increase in Intelligence increases Magic attack by 20 and MP by 1.

Agility increases Speed. 1 point increase in Agility increases the Attack Speed by 0.2, Movement Speed by 1, and Flying Speed by 2.

Endurance increases Defense. 1 point increase in Endurance increases Defense by 20.

Lastly, Vitality increases HP and the recovery rate. 1 point increase in Vitality increases HP by 200.

Advanced stats like critical rate and critical resist, critical damage and critical damage resist, Pierce, etc… can only be increased through equipment, magic items/scrolls, etc…

Looking around, Williard mumbled, "There are more people than I thought. Soon, it will reduce drastically, anyway. After all, none of those hundred beta testers revealed it in forums, the upcoming nightmare flying lessons."

While most of the players were excited, some players started wondering about their closed wings and the rest rushed towards the only building on this Angel's sanctuary, the Training Hall.

As the rest of the players followed them, everyone found out the doors of the Training Hall isn't opening. They started to wonder what they should do now since they can't get down without wings. Some fools with impatience directly ran towards the edge and jumped down to suicide themselves but immediately they were resurrected on the sanctuary much to their disappointment

Not even 5 minutes since the game has begun, the forum was filled with insults especially by Angel race players.
