Charging AL Daniel could see that it was not moving to avoid the attack, however, it would not need to do so through any means due to the fact it was a machine and could act faster than a human if need be, so Daniel squeezes the trigger of the gun hoping to use it. However, when he squeezes the trigger all he received is resistance from the trigger as he did not turn off the safety to shoot. Seeing that the gun is not working Daniel still continues the charge against AL and when in range he does a vertical swing downward at AL intending to use the gun as a close-range weapon. As Daniel attacked AL he left his body wide open for a straight punch by to the stomach which sent Daniel flying back with the air knocked out of him and lying in the dirt clutching his stomach and trying to breathe.
Daniel had tumbled to the earth about six feet away from where AL stood in the flower bed. Daniel had yet to feel any pain as adrenaline was numbing it for now and with his newly heightened metabolism, his body would be able to help deal with the minor pain Daniel received from there on out. Slowly getting up Daniel realized that he had to play it smart in order at least have some chance to go against the hunk of metal who was his teacher.
His first priority would be to get the gun to work since he would not need to go directly against AL and his four metallic arms. After a quick glance, Daniel sees the safety on the gun and flicks it onto 'Fire' before aiming the Glock and firing. AL does not attempt to dodge or shield himself from Daniel since he was only firing rubber bullets which would do nothing to the hard exterior of AL, plus Daniels aim sucks to the point were most did not even hit him.
Daniel after firing off a few rounds sees that they do no damage to AL so Daniel charges once more like last time. However, instead of shooting AL Daniel shoots the flowers that AL was standing in the middle of. The reason he did so was that Daniel saw AL avoid moving towards Daniel and he in fact only moved when he attacked Daniel. AL was actually in a small clearing in the middle of the plants that had no flowers, it was just a patch of grass which he had not noticed before.
AL saw Daniel aiming down and at first, his algorithms were predicting that he was aiming for his legs or lower body, but as Daniel aimed lower AL realized the intended target. AL finally moved and rushes forward to block Daniel's gun while also moving to take him out by punching him in the stomach once more with both arms this time while using his body to block his prized flora since they were only rubber bullets.
Daniel had thought that AL might try to stop him from shooting the flowers so he dodges by going through the gap made between the arms that were wide enough for him to barely get past. As he glides past the cold metal Daniel stabs towards AL's neck with his Gladius which housed the voice box and seemed to be the only weakness that he could see.
Daniel puts all his strength into the stab even though he is in a difficult position to do so. The sound of metal on metal rings out as the blade pierces AL's neck and protrudes out the back now.
AL was a machine so he could not feel any pain from the attack that would kill or severely kill a human. Seeing that Daniel was able to do so much damage to him despite being his first day of training AL cannot help but feel that he is getting rusty figuratively and that Daniel did well. AL spins his arms that Daniel was now stuck between and keeps him trapped there for a few minutes as punishment for almost damaging his flower garden he spent so much time on and destroying his voice box. By the time Daniel was freed from his punishment, he started to throw up his breakfast he had a few minutes before onto the grass.
As Daniel is wallowing in pain and dizziness he starts to hear clapping coming from some speakers. Looking up Daniel sees that house had hidden speakers on the corners that weren't visible unless you were low enough and seeing as how Daniel was on the ground he could see them. As for who was clapping it could only be one person.
"I must say that I am impressed that you were able to deal some damage to AL there with a blunted Gladius and some rubber bullets from a Glock 19," Mr. Quinn says from wherever he is from inside the Internet.
"Now then after AL gets his voice box repaired he will start working on conditioning training for you so until then rest up after returning the weapons you were given. Oh, and if you were to fight someone in the future AL I suggest that you learn to not grow attached to organic plants if you want to have a place here in the future,"
With those parting words, the speakers fall silent once more and Daniel just crawls to the side of the house as he does not trust his legs to keep him steady from all the spinning around. Once propped up Daniel closes his eyes to try and stop seeing doubles of everything.

As Daniel was lying against the side of the house AL was walking back to the center of the flowers. The reason why there was only grass there was so that AL could have a place to tend to his hobby and not destroy any of his hard work also so no roots would mess with the elevator that leads to AL's home.
AL was going down a silver tube that was an elevator as he stood on the grass waiting. Once he reached the bottom flower he was about half a mile below the Earth.
Al was different from the others of his kind. He wished to experience true life in a body not made of metal and to feel some real senses and not just those that we're programmed by his parents. However, AL was just a gardener whose father had once been the best fighter trainer in America. So it was natural that he knew how to train a fighter since he was originally programmed to do so. However, nothing is ever perfect and AL did not want to be a trainer, but he could not go against the wishes of his father and he carried on.
Eventually, AL got the idea that if he started to train fighters terribly than he would eventually be forced out of the business. AL did just that but it led to the deaths of three rookie fighters before he was told he did not need to train anymore. That led to AL being kicked out of his place within the internet and being forced to find a way to get a body and not rusting up.
AL imitated the sound a sigh as he thought back to the day when his father heard the news that AL was considered a failure and was not a prodical son.
'Still, this life is better even though I got to train some human again' AL thinks as he walks out of the elevator.
Exiting the elevator AL walks into what would look like an auto mechanic shop for cars as there were tools lying around on carts and on the floor. Spare parts could be seen lying on a workbench that was in the middle of the entire room. AL walks over to one of the walls and pushes a secret button on the wall disguised as a piece of it.
A door opens up and AL walks through which leads into a corridor that goes on for a few minutes of walking that leads to pitch black. Eventually, AL enters his true workshop.
The one in front of the elevator was just a ruse made to throw off anyone who happened to come in so he could hide his valuables away in here.
AL checks to see if the signal disruptor is on before entering the dark. A signal disruptor was able to prevent most things on the internet from finding this hidden workshop through the security checks that happen to everything on the internet.
As AL enters the darkroom lights flicker on through some motion detectors and drop down a blast door that military-grade bunkers would use to defend in case of an attack.
This room was a lot cleaner than the last but was a bit smaller. It still gave off the feeling of being a mechanic shop though as there were still tools of all kinds hanging on one wall the right. The wall to the left was a set of racks that displayed various parts of the body that AL was currently using.
AL leaves his damaged body behind and enters into another one that has an undamaged voice box for him to use. Once inside AL moves the damaged body into the automated repair area that he set up with a small program that would identify a problem with one of AL's bodies and repair it if allowed to do so.
Now, this program was not as advanced as AL as it could not problem solve or in essence 'think' since it followed some predetermined instructions that were built into it to the letter.
Many artificial intelligence beings that made multiple non-human hosts would make such programs to repair them if needed since they did not break any sort of set laws.
These laws were for making other artificial intelligence beings. Since they could not reproduce like humans they would build a new one. Of course, laws were enacted and enforced to prevent anyone of these artificial intelligence beings from modifying or creating things that would be able to harm them.
An example law is: No artificial intelligence shall create another artificial intelligence being without another present to witness the creation.
These laws if broken would lead to the immediate termination of an artificial intelligence regardless of status. That true death of an artificial intelligence is extremely rare since they exist on the Internet which humans cannot perceive let alone attack in this state. EMP's (Electro-Magnetic Pulse: A pulse that destroys electronic devices) was their nightmare when they were at war with humanity, but now this is something that is used to scare children to go to bed since all the related technology was destroyed or locked up and thrown into some abyss.
Once AL got what he came for he leaves his workshops and rides the elevator back to the surface to start conditioning training for Daniel.
