Chapter 33 - I like you doesn't mean you can trample on my family....

The weather in Russia was slightly chilly, so he had gotten her an extra cotton scarf, but the girl still felt slightly cold as her hands were shivering.

He sighed helplessly. Even in cold weather she won't let go of her gang uniform.

The tight cotton trousers clung to her lower frame and was a bit shorter than the normal trousers. On top she where the usual free T-shirt with their logo imprinted on it.

Her beautiful eyes glanced at him seductively as she suddenly poked his cheeks. He held her freezing hands and told the girl to wait. He wanted to get her something warm to hold.

On his way back from the store, he heard some people talking.

"Don't go in that direction...Beezlebub is angry."

"She's damaged government property again."

"That kitty is so damn dangerous."

His eyes looked confused for a bit.

He was just barely few minutes gone and something had managed to trigger her anger. He wondered what it was this time..

As he got closer to where she sat, he thought of sneaking up on her to lighten her mood but a few steps away, his peripheral vision could see him.

His only threat.

Little fool.

She seemed to be talking to him about something as she had her back to him, still sitting in the position he left her. But her phone was a total mess and the bench next to her was already broken.

No doubt she must have punched it in anger.

He paused in his steps as he looked at her back view. She seemed to have noticed him as she shifted her head slightly sideways. Her thin lips moved in a slow manner.

"I like you doesn't mean you can trample on my family." Her voice was distant and cold. He felt light shivers run down his spine and despite the hot milk he had in hand his hands still went cold and numb.

What had he done this time?

What and Little fool said about him?

Swiftly he felt little fool disappear into the corner. The clouds gathered around so quick night befall. He didn't know how long he had been standing behind her but the milk had gone cold with time.

She stood up slowly her steps wobbly as she had been resting on her legs while she sat.

When she saw him standing there, her faint smile caught his eyes and the cup he was holding but swiftly she jumped into the air and leapt sway.

After that he never heard from her for a month. And every passing day his heart turned cold and his body felt numb.

He had wondered if she was dumping him like she normally does.

Was she already bored of him?

Gu Bojing snapped out his thoughts and Weng Xu Lous angry voices rang to his ears again.

The cigarette he was holding was almost gone and was slightly burning his fingers to point where blisters had formed on them but strangely he hadn't felt anything. He smiled wearily..

Back then too he had not noticed how long he stood till he felt his legs go numb and he spent the night on one of the benches depressed as thoughts of her filled his whole self.

He turned around to cast a cold glance at the still ranting Weng Xu Lou.

"Weng Xu Lou...you are supposed to be a smart woman. Smarter than your mother even. But..." he paused as his eyes glanced at the still sulking Bolin who was busy frowning while going through his phone. " How did you end up like that." he was a dressing her pale red and swollen eyes.

"Did you think that I was still that fool from back then and I wouldn't know how to handle you guys. Let me inform you that I Gu Bojing still have more than enough tricks up my sleeve, if you want to try you can keep scheming. By the way your resignation letter is always welcome." he finished with a faint smile that did not reach his eyes.

Seeing the pitiful look he was giving her, Weng Xu Lou clenched her fists. Her eyes filled with an indescribable emotion. Her heart stung as she felt light headed but cleared her mind.

He was right, she had been doing well so far. She had endured even when he coldly denied all her advances. She had thought she stood a chance, until Mo Ai came.

She should have known he was still waiting for her.

Weng Xu Lou smiled in self mockery. What happened to their friendship?

If she hadn't let him know she liked him then, would they still be friends?

Perhaps he could have even fallen for her himself.

She was a proud woman but for eight years she chased after the same man. Someone who could never reciprocate her feelings.

Back then, Gu Bojing was pretty easy to get along with. As long as you extended a hand and acted nice, he would befriend you. But right now he was a completely different person.

He didn't seem like the same person who used to stand up for her and make her happy back then.

Back then how had their friendship gone down hill so soon?

It almost felt like yesterday to her.
