By the time Xiao Ai got to City S it was already evening. She went to the ladies and changed her clothes. Picking her phone, she called Sweet Guy and asked him where he was.
Thinking back at how she had fooled the spys, she had a satisfactory smirk on her lips. She still had her professional disguise. When she had made a call the other time, the professor Lim was actually little guy. Telling him that the students were following up and that she would look into it was a coded way of speaking.
Indirectly she was telling him that she was been followed and was asking him to look into it.
Xiao Ai rolled her box to a quiet place around the airport. She had a huge sunglasses on as she carefully studied her environment still wary of the people she had ditched.
Thinking back, she smirked. Did they think that her, Lada was an easy person?
If she was that easy to stalk and follow then she wouldn't live up to her name.
Seeing Sweet Guy she playfully gave him a punch on the shoulder wearing a happy expression.
"It's been a while..when did you arrive?" She asked sitting in the drivers seat.
Sweet Guy understood that she wanted to drive and quickly pulled in next to her.
"Few minutes ago? I asked seductress to check into the Black Tigers and truly they had been suspicious for the past few days. Seductress says only a small portion of their gang is in China. Fiery Tiger has just taken over the gang so they must want to seek revenge." he explained going through the ipad.
Xiao Ai nodded stepping on the accelerator as she sped along the cemented road.
"I knew leaving them with a bit of face wasn't enough. I should have finished Fiery Tiger back then..sigh..now minions even think they can attack me. In their eyes I must be really soft." she lamented.
"Well...Boss you are always on the news for your exceptional swindling abilities so it must have been easy to get your location." he added staring at Xiao Ai.
He looked at Xiao Ai wanting to ask but held it in..
"Just speak." she told him noticing his weird looks.
"Boss...Little guy said you got married to Emperor Gu. Is it true?"
Xiao Ai smirked, casually glancing at Sweet Guy giving him a careless look.
"What do you think?"
Sweet Guy dumbfounded didn't know how to react for a while before he finally snapped back.
"Hahahahahah....Boss. So what? You can have anyone you want? It's not like am worried that you will forget us because you have found your love. Am definitely not worried about that. Absolutely not worried." he blurted laughing loudly and acting like he was having a good time. He fanned himself with the ipad but seeing that Xiao Ai was givingg him a weird look he sat still.
Seriously, this guy was still like this.
Who asked him all that?
So they were worried I would ditch them because I found someone new.
Am I that wicked of a person in their mind.
Parking the car in front of the academy, Xiao Ai snatched the ipad from him and swiftly got down.
Sweet Guy quickly pulled the box and hurriedly followed her.
His mouth...damn him
His mouth...why did he say that?
"Sweet Guy, I will go look for my uncle, you observe the flowers around here and see if there's anything we can pick also..." she signaled for him to come closer, whispering into his ears."this is my Uncles Academy and China not Russia, don't steal anything." she warned looking slightly embarrassed.
Working with Xiao Ai for a long time, the indomitables had already learned how to perfectly con people and steal from them. Although Xiao Ai mostly did the swindling, if she wasn't around and they couldn't con their opponent they would resort to day light stealing. Sweet Guy especially was just as involved as Xiao Ai when it came to stealing from people so she had to warn him before hand. Moreover this was her uncles Academy and it was filled with so many experts. She couldn't let him further tarnish her already tarnished name.
Sweet Guy understood what she was talking about and quickly looked ahead. He was already planning on taking few things but now that Boss had said not to. He would try his best to control his instincts.
Soon Xiao Ai went to her uncles office. At the entrance she met some students.
"Omo! Isn't that the goddess of shamelessness from Imperial City Mo Ai?"
"Darn it..i thought she wouldn't care about Jennys kidnapping. Didn't the media say she was careless in care taking and had been mistreating Jenny?"
"Could it be she's here to cut off all ties?
"Impossible, my goddess might be shameless but she wouldn't do things like that. Jenny always spoke highly of her." a male fan refuted.
Mo Ai simply smiled and walked into the office. She had seen the news in the afternoon. The media as usual had made up stories.
It seems she didn't warn them enough.
What baffled Xiao Ai was how they knew that Jenny and been kidnapped. She was sure someone must have tipped them. And that person could be connected to Jennys disappearance.
"Xiao Ai..you are here." Her Uncle Zhao called sitting upright in his chair.
Xiao Ai smiled and walked forward, taking a seat opposite him.
Uncle Zhao was her father's elder brother. When she was young she would go to send few days with him. There was once a time when she spent the new year with him. Uncle Zhao had a wife, Auntie Ling. She was quite a nice lady and good looking too. Uncle Zhao was a total wife slave in the past and she was sure he was still the same.
When she had placed Jenny in his care, they were more than happy to take care of Jenny. Uncle Zhao was a retired general. It was just a pity that none of his two children took after him. Apart from the mandatory task of learning a few moves, they weren't interested in martial arts or teakwando. His first son was a famous lawyer while his other son was a singer. When she was little she would cover up for them during training. By the age of 14 thanks to her uncle Xiao Ai was already a professional female fighter. Her other incredible skills she had learned from her grand aunt in Russia.
When she had decided to go Russia to pursue her ridiculous dream back then, he was the only one from her father's side that supported her. Her paternal grandparents lived abroad and she didn't get to see them often. Even when they heard they weren't very supporting but with a little coaxing from her side they half heartedly agreed.
The only one who didn't support her and still wouldn't was her father. He had commented that up she left for Russia, she would become and uncontrollable monster.
Yes her own father had said that. But she was ling numb to his harsh words.
Maybe he favored Baozhai more because he felt she was a monster.
It was no news to everyone in their family that Xiao Ai was the most favored granddaughter. Even when Baozhai showed up she wasn't very likable.
Thinking about it, she felt the reasons Baozhai must have not liked her would be because she had favor of her grandparents than her.
Xiao Ai felt a bit of pity for her...just a bit.
But that didn't mean she would stop her evil plans for Baozhai . Xiao Ai wanted to smirk but she controlled herself as she stared at her uncle.
"Uncle, tell me if there was anything strange about Jenny recently." she asked her expression suddenly turning serious.
If someone was truly involving Jenny just to mess with her, she wouldn't let it be.
After thinking for a while he shook his head. "Jenny has always been easy going. She never had male friends and wasn't particularly close to the females. She was just Jenny. Just on her own. Her skills were already on par with a senior. I was discussing her promotion with the other teachers when this happened." he sighed as she drank water. "Xiao Ai am sorry, I couldn't look after Jenny well. I must have caused you a lot of trouble. You seem so attached to her." he added in a regretful tone.
Xiao Ai managed a pained smile gently patting his hands.
Of course she was attached to Jenny.
Not many people knew what happened with Jenny as discussions between doctors and patients were highly confidential, but Jennys case was a bit famous as she had once attempted suicide on the hospital roof top.
Back then, when she saw how determined Jenny was to die, she felt her pain. The media as always was present as they had gotten insider information that a patient was about to commit suicide in Care Medical Centre.
When Xiao Ai first met Jenny, it was through Yusheng. Yusheng had called both she and Lifen over as Jenny was acting crazy and wouldn't let anyone touch her.
Jenny looked miserable then. So miserable Xiao Ai had to brace herself up to look at her. Her hair was disheveled and dirty. Full of mud even. Her face was swollen and beaten and on her head was a huge gash. She must have been hit with something heavy. The now beautiful Jenny was not recognizable then. She was badly beaten. Beaten and battered.
She had broken four of her ribs, had a deep cut on her lower stomach, a huge gash with blood gushing out on her head and her clothes were torn. Her breasts were slightly exposed and on bottom she was wearing nothing but a wrapper which she guessed the ambulance must have provided her.
Seeing her in that state, they could already guess what had happened.
Xiao Ai turned to Lifen, her hands over her mouth to prevent herself form gasping loud.
She was cruel. Yes.
But she would never do this to a woman.
And Jennys then was a girl. A sixteen year old.
Even with all the wounds on her body she was still alert enough to not let anyone touch her. Xiao Ai not caring at all had rushed to give her a hug, her blood staining her clothes. Jenny froze for a while before fainting. It took several hours to complete her surgery and even after surgery she didn't wake up for a long time, she almost thought she wouldn't make it.
Yusheng had told her a young girl called the hospital saying there was an unconscious person near her and gave the address. But till today, that young girl was not found.
The police had found the phone but there was nothing to trace as it was new and the owner had not registered with their real name. She had bought the phone with cash too making it impossible to trace the account, which meant she was already prepared for it. She must have known something would happen to Jenny so she had bought the phone.
Xiao Ai had been curious to know who this young girl could be. She could be a savior and could also be the perpetrator. But Jenny had asked her not to bother. Besides, Jenny later managed to pull through it which was the greatest relief for Xiao Ai.
Although she didn't know the full story of her life, as Jenny didn't probe too much, she knew quite a little.
To Xiao Ai, Jenny was her younger sister. The sister she wanted to protect.
And now that sister had been abducted...
And it could be her fault. It could be one of her enemies trying to get back at her.
If anything should happen to Jenny again...
Xiao Ai dared not think of the consequences.
