Han Seoyeon couldn't keep alone in her house. Even though everything had been solved or so what she wished to believe, she couldn't shake the uneasiness she felt after the shock she received from seeing how Wan Seulgi was kidnapped by the witches.
She knocked on the door of the room before opening the door to find her best friend still staying in her bed with her eyes blankly looking afar at the window which was instilled in the wall on her left.
"What are you thinking of?" she asked, her feet walking to run toward Wan Seulgi.
"Seoyeon!" Wan Seulgi exclaim seeing how Han Seoyeon had come and widely spread her arm to hug her friend. Seoyeon nestled her head on her head, her other hand stayed to rub her back.
"Stupid, you shouldn't have walk out in the night. You have worried me to death." she whispered, her hand feeling the breaths of her friend to feel assured. When she touched Seulgi's hand, she recoiled, but it wasn't her who had moved back but rather Wan Seulgi had pushed her back with her hand both on her shoulder.
Looking closer, Han Seoyeon noticed how Seulgi's complexion was much paper than a paper and frowned, "Are you sick?" her question came short.
Wan Seulgi looked down before her eyes beaming with a wide smile. "Isn't that why I am still here in the hospital? You worry too much Seoyeon." she giggled.
When her she had finished her laughter, Seulgi then saw Han Seoyeon raising her hand up on her shoulder and stared at her confused before she felt a pain striking her forehead. "Awww! What was that?! Why did you have to flick my head?!"
"You! How could you say I worry too much? You don't know how much you have worried me-" Han Seoyeon turned her face away facing Seulgi with her back. Seulgi then saw her shoulders shake, she couldn't make out Seoyeon's expression but from what she could see it seemed as if her friend was crying.
"I'm sorry." Seulgi said, despite her apology she was still smiling wide.
"You're really sorry?" Seoyeon questioned.
"I am."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Then you will promise not to drink out anymore."
"Yes- What?!" Seoyeon turned her face, there was no tear Seulgi could find other than the wide smile spread across her lips.
"You've promised." Said Seoyeon, happy that she was able to take a promise after tricking Seulgi.
"Hey, that's not fair. There are times when I have to drink, I can't possibly give you empty promise and break it the next day." Seulgi protested her hand pulling Han Seoyeon and Seoyeon turned to tickle her.
"What is not fair?! Do you want to be kidnapped again?!" Seulgi was laughing out of the ticklish feeling she felt but when she heard the word kidnapped, her eyes stopped in horror and the smile she had dropped.
"Of course, I don't want that." she whispered. Seeing the fear that took on Seulgi's face, Seoyeon felt her heart pained. She had seen with her own eyes when she was with Jung Hwa of how frightening witches were and what had happened that night to Seulgi, she didn't know but she knew it must have been frightening.
She took her hand, squeezing warmly. "What happened that night? What did you see?" she questioned, if Seulgi knew about the witches, it was only right for her to know the truth and she would request Jung Hwa to approve her reasoning but is she doesn't, it was better for her not to know. The world of vampires and witches are not place for human like her nor Seulgi to be involved with and although she had took a step toward the world of the night creatures it would be better for her friend not to so she would be kept from harm.
"That night, I don't know." Seulgi replied, the only one who knew she was lying was herself. "I only felt cold and the place where I was kept was narrow and dark."
"I see." Seulgi saw how Han Seoyeon had a face of guilt as if she was feeling at fault for her getting hurt. And it was what Seoyeon felt. If only she had stayed by Seulgi's side and keeping a constant call with her friend, perhaps she could avoid her feeling lonely and heartbroken but there was only to an extent of support she could gave to her friend. The what if's she had thought in her mind was what she wished for but the incident had happened and it was unavoidable.
"But how did they kidnapped you?" she asked the question that had been lingering on the back of her mind. From what she had heard from Jung Hwa upon further investigation there was only a few women who was kidnapped as most of the kidnapped people was men they had tricked the same way Hana had to Jung Hwa.
Seulgi kept a smile, her head tilted, "You didn't hear yet from the police of what happened? You were also there when you saved me with Mr. Jung Hwa." she trailed her words and her brows danced, "I thought that you didn't get well with him after finding out he was your boss? From what I could see he seems to treat you well."
"You didn't even see anything." Seoyeon replied, she turned her eyes to the potted plant which was kept near the window on Seulgi's left side. Gazing at the plant, her mind wondered off to recall Jung Hwa's face.
Since her childhood, she dreamt for a man who was slightly older than her, calm and gentle, with a collected personality. But Jung Hwa was the opposite of the man she dreamt of. He was tad a bit sarcastic, and might be narcissistic and he might not be a man of her ideal, but she found the best part of him despite knowing each other for only a week. Whenever she needed someone by her side, Jung Hwa wasn't hesitant to help her and stood right beside her and now that she think about him, she felt as if butterflies had filled her stomach, an indescribable feeling blossomed in her heart.
