Chapter 60 - Surprise-II

Jung Hwa saw the little black cat Seoyeon whose eyes grew wide from the revelation. Not that he could blame her though, she must have had thought that the disguise she used was people proof but what she didn't know it didn't work to him. Frankly, it was quite amusing to watch her surprised and her weary look when they first met.

The poor cat, Jung Hwa thought but unlike other men or vampires, Jung Hwa was a different man with his own quirk. One of it being not letting go of what he had taken a fond to.

"You knew? Since when?" Was the words Han Seoyeon could squeeze with her eyes opened wide, finally locking her eyes to him.

"The first time when we met again in the office." and before Han Seoyeon asked how, he generously replied, "I have a very good sight far better than normal vampires and you wouldn't really believe that such a simple disguise would be enough to change your appearance don't you? Like the way your body was shaped, your voice, your eyes, and your fingers there are things that no matter what you wouldn't be able to change Seoyeon." and it would also mean that it would be hard for Han Seoyeon to suddenly disappear as it would not be easy for hide from him.

"But why didn't you say of anything?" It was weird, if he had known what was going on and that she had deceived him since their first meeting in the office, he would feel offended but she could find nothing from his smile. Instead, she find his genuine amusement like a person who have finally had his fill of fun.

"I didn't think it was something I have to tell you," and truth to be told, Jung Hwa had given her many hints every time they met but the slowpoke girl didn't know how much he had wooed her.

"Also if I have to add, I didn't know whether I should have told you and it was fun." he deadpanned his last word but it was the only one which held his reason.

She looked at him with accused gaze but it was also her fault for deceiving him. Saying you deceive me would goes to both of the two. Though she felt bitter she also felt somewhat relieved that Jung Hwa had known the truth.

"Your have a very poor humor," she commented her eyes looking at him back which he liked better than how she had been acting when he first taken the seat. Avoiding his gaze wasn't something he could appreciate.

"Many have told me that my humor is quite funny, I guess it just doesn't work on you. People have preference like one who like to cook burnt and one who like to eat raw." this made her recall of the time when they talked about cooking in the party hall.

"I don't think there are people who like to eat raw food unless it is vegetables," she argued. Not only he said burnt food are delicious but now he claimed raw meat are edible. It

"You would be able to see soon." Her eyes stared at him when she tilted her head not   what he meant by she would see someone eating a raw meat. Perhaps he was thinking on eating raw meat in front of her eyes?

But to her reply, Jung Hwa continued, "There are some vampires who loved to eat raw food not daily as it is also a little hard to digest but I remember to have heard of a few vampires who eat raw meat." The image of meat still fresh from the butchery plated and eaten passed to Han Seoyeon mind that she felt her blood curled.

"Why do they have to eat raw meat? Isn't blood enough to supply vampires?" and other than blood is she should suggest are many other food she could vouch for the taste.

"Some times they want something peculiar to taste but that is a hobby of brainless vampires it is not something that someone like me would ever want to eat."

Rather than peculiar, Han Seoyeon would call their palate as bizarre.

"If you are interested for more informations regarding raw food, you can know more once the Associates call you."

"No thank you." Han Seoyeon replied quickly. What good would she receive from questioning vampires who ate raw meat? But now it reminded her of the fact that she would soon meet other vampires than Jung Hwa which she knew they wouldn't be a friendly type of people as Jung Hwa himself was odd for humans. Which also reminded her for what she had come for tonight.

"I came here not only to talk about how I have been standing in as Wan Seulgi." Jung Hwa rose his brows, "Wan Seulgi, my friend she disappeared last night in Myeondong."

In the mention of Myeondong Jung Hwa drew his brows. Although he may lack evidence with the news regarding of the sudden loss of vampires and humans, he knew that the place had become the witches's hunting ground. Which also mean, Han Seoyeon's friend was possibly kidnapped by the witches for reason that they don't know.

"And you think it's possible that she was involved witches or vampires." Jung Hwa spike of what she had thought of.

Han Seoyeon bobbed her head up and down. "I heard of your conversation back in the hotel and I just thought maybe. I came to the last bar Seulgi visited and the bar owner claimed that not only her many other people have disappeared around Myeondong. I wasn't sure of it yet but I thought there was a possibility," She then bowed her head, "Please help me to find Seulgi, Hwa. She's my only friend." she said with eyes that were hard for him to resist to.

Jung Hwa hummed he rose his hand which stopped at her head. Smoothening the end of her hairs he replied, "Good that you are fast." Coincidentally it was right in the time where he have the authority he could use for investigation which he could also use to aid her to find her friend.
